The coffee lover thread

One shot of Dharkan from my little Pixie. They were out of Cuban the other day. They did try to push the leftover Apfelstrudel flavored espresso from Christmas.

Edit: One shot in this glass. More to follow.

a good online vendor for fresh roasted coffee w/ a roasted date, not used-by date, around $50+ shipped for 5 lbs:

I've ordered from RB many times, mostly their espresso blends but others as well. Roast is on the medium side but *$ has made that extremely confusing. For me, anytime there's oil on the beans, it's too darkly roasted.

Dissenter alert... Loved the daily evacuation, euphoria and corporate team-building*, but not the effect on BP, bruxism, alcohol intake and sleep.

I drink a cup or two a year now, and thoroughly enjoy it. Daily, green tea works for us. It's nice to make one beverage instead of two in the AM. :)

Okay, I'll STFU now.

Intrigued! I buy Lavazza espresso from Amazon, as I like the price and pour. Good crema from the RB espresso?

I've started looking into roasting my own coffee beans, so maybe I will turn into a coffee connoisseur cough cough snob, cough cough

@Mikie I've been drinking coffee since I was about 7 years old, thanks to grandma. I don't recommend it to just anyone because it will stunt your growth like it did me :whistling:
And no, I'm not talking mental growth either :ninja:

Tea is acceptable in the coffee thread IMHO.

After years of doing this and that I ended up just french pressing every morning. Right now just drinking Peets Major Dickason..I do like the stuff from Polly's in Long Beach..at work it comes down to a matter of convinience but have been drinkin SF Bay FR..and mentioning Keurig is possibly verboten here, but imho it'e pretty good for a k-cup. (feel free to edit image size..dunno how to do it here)

Love your poster!

Nothing fancy, we just use our Keurig K-cup brewer. I prefer Pete's French/dark roast and I've got to have my cinnamon/vanilla creamer.

I frequent SB for Cafe Mochas and Vanilla lattes. I laugh to myself inside when some geeky youngster in front of me in line takes 30 seconds to say their order (triple pump caramel latte, with an extra shot, not too hot, not too cool, extra whip, no foam, half full in a grande cup, over ice).

You're already ordering Mochas and Lattes. It's a short step to determining what type of milk, how hot and how many pumps of whatnot you want. Then YOU will be that guy!

Me, I proudly order my Grande Chai Tea Latte with 5 pumps of Chai, extra hot. Then, it's off to pilates, a mani-pedi and a musical.

Now where did I leave my murse?

Or is it a satchel?

LOL!!! They know me well enough so that I rarely even have to tell them what I want but I do request "no foam" (cafe mocha) every time. Other than that, I like those drinks the way they come.

Ahh simple is good ...Really great Espresso perfectly pulled straight or with the perfect amount of steamed milk. Machiatto ("Marked") Cortado or Capaccino (6-oz)

BTW Eyeballing.some new espresso machines

One I am looking at..Of course I may be a bit swayed by form over function on that unit.
