Redlands Strada Rossa - March 19, 2016

Yeah, should be good! :)
And I'm not saying anything wrong with Eggbeaters in particular, just definitely don't skimp on durability. It's not Ride the Divide or anything like that, but would still suck to have a mechanical :(

With that in mind, I did put the WTB Nano on the Arch wheel for the back, instead of the Crest... It's heavier, but I was worried about the extra stress on the wheel from running skinny tires. They feel like bricks compared to a mountain tire. Some of that has to transfer to the wheel? Yes?

Keeping in mind that I'm not the most petite of riders... :whistling:

You'll be fine either way. Crests won't be the lightest rims out there by far.

You'll be good with either. But can't hurt! :)

Long range weather looks like it's gonna be nice and warm on Saturday.....high of 83*.
The forecast has been all over the place, but it's starting to solidify... bummer, wish it was cooler. At least air should be pretty clear, and dirt should be in perfect condition!

Big day tomorrow! THANKS for the support from the IMTB clan... I'm stoked to have a significant MTB presence involved in the ride. I think it helps keep it grounded a bit and maintain a fun atmosphere!
Those of you going, be sure to budget enough time to hang out and enjoy the party! I'll be around at the 100 & 50 km starts, but probably not the 100 miler. Hope to see you all and say hi at the end!!!
Ride some for me, I'll be living vicariously tomorrow! :)

Take a moment here and there to snap some photos, it should be BEAUTIFUL out tomorrow (if not a little hot).

Heck, I wasn't even aware of the different start times. I though we all started at 8. Where do I check start time for the 100K?
You should have received an event email on March 14th titled "WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR RSR III" It has all that info in it. Did you get that? If not, let me know your email and I will forward it to you. It has all the links for the routes and route slip as well, so an important one!!!

I said hi to @bigringrider101 , @OTHRider and @riiz at the start. @Faust29 and @mtnbikej did a early-early start before I got there. Didn't see @DBMX119 yet. Plenty of crashes so far, a few flats, no unexpected drama that I know of! Starting to warm up right about now, but the morning was perfect!

mtnbikej and I survived! He pulled me the entire way around the course... And sometimes I even unhooked the rope!
