New Bike Day!

Soooo, what prompted the move to a Tallboy?
I beat him up the hill on my Megatower... :whistling: :whistling:

(Well, I doubt that was the catalyst, but I like to think that the world revolves around me, so....)

I wanted a short travel 29'er. My goal is to spend more time in the saddle, the mini DH bike just wasn't cutting it. I'm trying to stop the fatness from creeping in! After talking and riding with my buddy Mautner, SC sales rep, he suggested the Tallboy. It's really the only bike he's been riding for a year. He's a good rider, we have a similar riding style, so I trusted him, so far so good! Just try to get the squishy bits figured out....

But in all reality, @herzalot hit the nail on the head and so did @Grego Plus I wanted to be a Santa Cruz Kool Kid!

You were already a Super-Cool Kid as you are.

Sadly, I'm not fast anymore.

But we would've had that answer if @herzalot had been racing in the Expert class instead of Sport....;)
There was one race when all classes ran the same lame course - the time all three Athertons were there, along with Danny MacAskill. Gee beat me by 33 seconds and you probably beat me by about 15 or 20, I would guess.

MacAskill broke his collar bone on a two-foot drop. Rachie was already injured and didn't race.

Don't let Mike fool ya, he's put some E miles in as well.
Welcome to the Tallboy club. I love mine, so fast and capable.
