Music... I Listened to Some

This tune has been stuck in my head all morning.

And it goes with this scene like peanut butter and jelly.

I mean, is there a man alive that doesn’t love that movie?

The mailman just dropped this off! Part of the fun of punk records is all the cool stuff that comes in them.

In a box.
In Canada
With a few hundred others..

But back to the topic. I forget if that is the same photo on the cover though.

That's right, they're from Montreal! I wonder what the deal is with the Penny then.
I feel like the band was soo hands-on with everything they did that I wouldn't put it past them to put a different photo on each cover. If yours are first pressing and you ever want to sell them...

I also have their "Yanqui u.x.o" and
"Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! "On vinyl. I think the latter is probably the only that would be first pressing..

Here's my actual list of albums...

Once we get a place with a bit more room I have to figure out the logistics of getting the collection moved..

Oh, we have a lot to talk about next ride.

yeah, my mom literally pulled-up our house and was like “hey, I brought your records and your surfboard. Your old room is my sewing room now.”

@Derkderkall Wow! That is one well organize list you got there. I commend you.

Does anyone know if old punk concert shirts have value?
Mint condition of course, at least in my eyes they are. I'm finally tossing stuff out or using it as my Sunday rags around the garage.

Interesting question. Quick scan of eBay shows there could be $$ to be made depending on the band, tour, rarity, etc.

I have no idea how to embed a YouTube video...but if you can appreciate the precision of a capella, and what it takes to do it, here you go....a classic redone.

If that doesn't work, well, you can look it up. It seems to lack on the embed. "Brandy" by Elliott Lurie (Looking Glass) a capella.

The guys doing the backing a capella weren't even born when this was released.

So I downloaded this album on a whim thinking it was hard rock. After a few misc. other artists/songs played in my car, this song comes on. At first I thought it
was Country, then I could hear some Tom Petty in there. The whole album is pretty good, if you like that style.
Whats interesting to me is I remember the guy from long ago, altho I didnt know this is the same guy.
Anyhow, give this a listen.....and then look up his past.

This was a favorite of mine when it came out. Rediscovered it last week. Listen to the haunting and unique guitarwork at the end (3:58) then report back. Jamie West Orem's Strat sound was sooooo crystalline and stabbing at the same time.

Studio track played over what was a real live performance. I'm surprised it matches up so well. I'm sure a video of the actual live Midnight Special performance is available out there somewhere. Anyway, still a great tune. Thanks!

Yeah I noticed but it's always fun to see live performance footage instead of a bunch of stills.
