Wait for it....
still putting out the good stuff at dang near 70 yrs old
Happy shared birthday to Robbie Krieger of The Doors, Elvis Presley and David Bowie!
This "LA Woman" fan-made video seems good way prepare for the weekend - some nice vintage LA and Joshua Tree footage from the "When You're Strange" documentary interspersed with clips from Bullitt, Vanishing Point and Duel.
This song has been making the rounds in various kick ass versions this year. As the husband and son of public school teachers this one is just too perfect not to revel in.
That song rocks! They've got a new album coming next month.......sounds pretty good:
Always "The Performer" No matter the crowd... Bowie delivered.Per DoubleWide's post above... Remembered Klaus Nomi backed up Bowie on his first SNL appearance in 1979. This Vimeo clip has the 3 songs he performed - The Man Who Sold The World, TVC 15 & Boys Keep Swinging.
"The Man Who Sold The World" was covered by Nirvana on MTV's Unplugged.

Excellent!Nice! For another acoustic-ish version of this song, check out this one by Ryan Adams. No band falling in for a big full-force finish, but an inspired performance nonetheless:
So for you that enjoy how the music is made.....
This guy does a pretty break down of lots of music.
Entertaining and informational.
Sitting on hold with JensonUSA isn't so bad with classic rock playing over the telephone.
I typically wouldn't post in this thread as I have, shall we call it, a strange taste in music, and no idea about musicianship, but this guy is incredible and I felt the need to pass it along.
Cam Cole- He is a British busker (street musician)

He is quite the douche, but a hell of a musician.I recently posted a Ryan Adams clip here, in reply to the Foo Fighters subdiscussion. Made me think of this performance from a few years ago. Probably my favorite track from his "Prisoner" album. He does a lovely job of performing it as an acoustic version. So many tasteful embellishments with the hammer-ons, pull-offs, walk-ups, and walk-downs. Great song.
