Music... I Listened to Some

I’m thinning out my Vinyl collection at the request of my better half.
I‘ll probably post some of the better kept stuff on discogs. Sadly, some of the less well kept ones will go to goodwill.

I’m definitely keeping theses two that I got from my dad. Even though the doors record is not in great shape.

Personally, I love the Psych Furs "Mirror Moves" album far better than the others in view. (OK, Making Movies is right there too - maybe even above).

Let's head back to the very early 90s for a power pop rock tune that many of us have likely forgotten, or maybe never heard. Divine Intervention, from Matthew Sweet's album Girlfriend. The YouTube offering below is audio only, with just a static image. This album was a really interesting production for its time; quite a bit different than what had become the norm back then. Richard Lloyd's lead guitar work on this track is killer. So may tasty fills, and that first solo is really amazing - might have to be a guitar player to truly appreciate the complexity of what's going on here. Anyway, I can listen to it over and over again.

It's looking like we'll be footing the bill to keep live venues afloat through the pandemic. You think that means the $10 show ticket will still be $10 after the "convenience charge?"
NOPE.
My bet is it will still be $35.
(everyone's a free market guy until they have to run to the government begging for money.)
We share our office building with Space land/Golden Voice, the promoters. I wonder how they're doing.
(Is this my first IMTB rant?)
