Music... I Listened to Some

Frank Marino and mahogany rush... I have an LP in a box in the garage, haven't played it prob since the early 80s...
AYE. Leave your vinyl in the garage and hit youtube. Which album? I wore out the black live album, but the earlier stuff through Tales of the Unexpected is damn good. A true musician and great performer. Guitar war between him and Ted? GTFO, absolutely no comparison.

I’ve been working on something with some friends; about punk music...and fatherhood.

Each episode will have a playlist. This is the list for episode 1:

Please, if you have a question, comment, or concern related to parenting or fatherhood Twitter our producer on the Twitter @Georgiiio
Or, pm me and we’ll do our best to address your question and give you a “shout-out.” Excited to see what we get.

I’m planning to post a link to the show once we have a few episodes done (the dischord records model):)
This is excellent, all the way around!

I also saw the Allied Forces tour and the Diary of a Madman tour. That was pre-marriage.

Post-marriage, I saw Rita Coolidge and Air Supply...

My first 2 LPs purchased at the same time was Stranger in the Night and Animal Magnetism.
Did you see MS on That Metal Show jamming w/ Kirk Hammett? It's on youtube...

Not all is lost, I did slowly corrupt my wife, took her to see Chicago, Ambrosia, Phil Collins, Santana, Ottmar Liebert, Pat Metheny, Julian Bream,
Paco de Lucia, Robert Cray, Al Di Meola, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd...

The one thing keeping our marriage intact is that we have complete agreement on... Mark Knopfler/DS whom we've seen twice.

That is a statement, @siata94! Funny... : )

Two great albums, nice picks!

I did see Kirk and Michael on That Metal Show. I just felt sorry for Kirk. That "new riff" was an embarrassing re-appropriation of Michael's Natural Thing. Just look at Michael's face as Kirk shows the riff. He's like WTF? Dude, you've sold 11 million units and you couldn't do better than to steal my 1976 riff?!? (@ 1:00 in the vid below.) It's good to see MS get some due, as he has never been in the light for a couple of reasons. But Mustaine had it right...Kirk does the best he can with what he's got. He lucked into the best gig ever. Not saying he talent-less, but, Sh!t, even James can play a more soulful lead than him.

Try again, Kirk...

Diary...LOL, right on, man! :cool:

I think we should resurrect KLOS "island classics", ie if you were stuck on an island alone but with a record player,
which 3 albums would you want to have with you?

I loved that as a kid!

KLOS :thumbsup:
KNAC :thumbsup::thumbsup:
3 albums 4 lyfe :eek::cry::eek::cry::eek::cry:

I also loved KNAC as a kid. Where else could you hear Pavement, temple of the dog, Pixies and Sacred Reich from one dj on the same station!?! Closests I've found since then is Henry Rollins' show on KXLU but it's on past my bedtime.
