Music... I Listened to Some

When you're a famous pioneering rock act, how do you reinvent your band with an LP that commercially surpasses your entire catalog to date? You release an album like Eliminator.

Happy weekend. Whip it up. Hit me like a ton of lead. :sneaky::cool::D

PS: Oh, yea.

Dropped our kid off with a friend to see Tyler the Creator in Santa Ana last week. He came back with his buddy suggesting I check out Brock Hampton because they reminded them of Death grips.

I checked it out at work yesterday...NOPE...Hell NO! I used to shoot videos for "Reggae", bands in Isla Vista and Brock Hampton is def. more in-line with those bands...

Death Grrips:

Brock Hampton:

The bass player and his production company have been donating/volunteering with us for a couple of years, his wife is the guitarist/singer. I f'n love this band. We went and saw them at a record distro company in Glendale and they're fantastic live.
My wife's going to take the train down to Fully on Monday so we can both see them at the Commonwealth room.

I seen Ness in a booth in El Matador one day. Another day I was drinking in a bar, telling the tender that Social D was well beyond opening for other acts. Had no idea Dennis the bassist was sitting next to me. RIP, bro. Social D/OC FTMFW.

Saw them in March in Ventura, great show. Hope to see them again real soon.

Just as much a sonic journey now as it was for a 15 year old kid getting his neurons totally blown in a girl's smokey bedroom.

Saw Frank perform it live at Galaxy Theater last decade. Mind blown again.

Ah, well you,
you think I'm crazy, but that's not true
ah, well it's just that I been,
to a million hells to pay for my sin
ah, well hey! what I'm sayin',
is you better be right when you speak of my plight
or I'll be comin' to take you back down with me
to the land of a thousand nights
Well if I'm just insane
then treat me lightly and don't complain
well if I seem uptight
and it seems that my soul is black as night
but if you're wrong, you better be strong, yeah,
cause I'll be comin' after you to take you back down
to the land of a thousand nights
Cold, so cold I can't pretend - the man in the outfield
with the bonnet head - crystal clear auntie viola -
wet blacknose saint bernard dog - and there is alpha -
omega - clearly put water on his tarnished tongue -
crying moons - can you dig the sheep goddess -
she's feeling red feather's from a salvation army cup -
and did you think I wasn't going to blacken his room -
for surely a thousand nights couldn't help but be
draining his soul away - say then,
Sholyo Im Fi Zhamy - Sholyo Im Fi Zhay...

This is a good place to post this: If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Map of Metal. Quite the rabbit hole to go chasing down!

I’ve been working on something with some friends; about punk music...and fatherhood.

Each episode will have a playlist. This is the list for episode 1:
https://open.spotify.com/user/reawall/playlist/6b32UaIs2dU40mnc5YNFW6?si=04rFaanaS36pBdzbtPguYw

Please, if you have a question, comment, or concern related to parenting or fatherhood Twitter our producer on the Twitter @Georgiiio
Or, pm me and we’ll do our best to address your question and give you a “shout-out.” Excited to see what we get.

I’m planning to post a link to the show once we have a few episodes done (the dischord records model):)
