The Geoladders.com website has been completely dead for a month now with no response.

It's far from its heyday but still like using it as a convenient record of past rides. Used a non website email address to contact the administrator. Hope it gets fixed.

We'll see what happens.

I stopped using it when they no longer allowed the usage of Garmin Communicator/Express to upload rides. When it was no longer automatic, it was a PITA. Sucked since I had history back to 2006 there.

Not exactly an accurate description. It rolled into the yard of someone at the top of El Prieto Road. Owen went to upstate New York after the raid because the Feds were after him and 3 others. It is actually a gripping tale of him and the crew making their way north avoiding all contact with others and staying off roads. Two did not make it being captured "stealing food" at local places. But his grave is on top of "little round top" Right under the high tension lines coming down from the Owens Valley.
Thanks for the update

The whole SPAC thing has turned my industry upside down too. “Raise money, then go find something to buy” seems like a sucker’s bet to me, but my only advice is that if you have something to sell, sell it now.

"Pinkbike’s content and services have long been paid for with an advertising model, while our new parent company offers some features of their titles in a subscription called Outside+.

Subscribers get digital access to members-only content, exclusive shows, hundreds of virtual health, fitness, cooking, and outdoor classes, free books, personalized, ad-free experiences at Outside Online, a subscription to Gaia GPS, training plans, and discounts on everything from gear to race-entry fees to event photography."

Be prepared for a paywall that will block content that you have previously been able to to view for free.

Maybe. But if I were the investors, I’d look at this as a hedge. They’re charging $99/year to access all the magazine titles, which would be a good deal if they hadn’t gutted the content and made them all just another pile of clickbait listicles. What would PB have to offer behind a paywall? I mean, user created content is pretty marginal when it’s free.

Those classifieds though...

Fun fact: In order to ride through Camp Pendleton you need to get a bike pass at the visitor center in Oceanside. If you're coming in from the north you're basically out of luck and need to ride along the side of the freeway for 7 miles.
If you look on their website you'll see they are open till 3:30 so you plan to get there during their posted business hours. But when you drive a half hour down interstate 5 to get there at 1:45, you will be greeted by a closed sign.
Maybe I just don't understand the whole 24-hour time thing.

maybe we build into imtbtrails a legit Classified Section. Been thinking about that for years...
I can sell land development/entitlement services! Who needs a warehouse? Anyone wanna build a thousand houses? Walmarts and Costcos are always fun. Gas stations are a challenge near residential uses. How about a hydrogen electrolysis and steam methane reformation factory? There’s plenty of water, and greenhouse gasses are just hot air.

Kidding me? Craigslist, Trader pubs, etc. People love virtual marketplaces. Especially now.

MTBR's forum update was good, but the classifieds became an unfriendly collection of subfolders. PB's BuySell has keyword searches and ad criteria that make finding an exact item easy. They continually improve(d) it. I think the brass there has pro digital background, which no doubt saved a lot of outsourcing. Emulating that model doeasn't seem like an impossible leap.

I have so much stuff to sell but I'm too lazy to list it.
Yard sale time.

Yeah, it's crazy.
Since they instituted that I'd have to take a day off work to get a pass.
