In Other News

I've seen in the news that volunteering for a minimum of 4 hours (they usually want 8) moves you to the front of the line.
Volunteering may have its' own risks as well.

I just got my first Moderna yesterday at Anaheim Convention Center. Very smooth process. Lots of walking, but virtually no waiting.

I almost feel bad. I was offered the Johnson & Johnson vaccination this morning at the CVS on my route. Someone had canceled their appointment. I turned it down but offered it to a long-time customer that I knew had been desperately waiting for one. She was very grateful.

What a dick!

OK, that's one of the cooler things I've read on here in a long while. Good on ya!

Finally! I’ve been consistently working 5am to 5pm lately which hasn’t lent many opportunities for quick after work rides at Oaks.

And no, riding somewhere in the Santa Ana’s in the evenings after a 12 hour day with a 5 year old and 3 year old is not an option. :coffee::p
I’ll meet you next Saturday at midnight anywhere within an hour of your house to make it work.

While it’s a bit wet this morning and I am about to coach some little league I do get out on weekends during the daylight, and soon weekdays as well. Besides, I still go to bed fairly early on weekends to stay on track. Not everyone is a wolf of the night like you. :coffee::laugh:

Was talking to my insurance agent yesterday and asked about bike coverage. He says it's covered unless it has a motor. That eBikes need a separate type of coverage for motorized vehicles, and are not covered by home insurance.

Apparently there have been quite a few surprised owners lately.

Even insurance agents don't consider them bicycles. I got a chuckle out of that.

So even people that don’t know sh!t about bikes are smart enough to know the difference.
