I was a GT guy when I first started riding.....

'96 Avalanche LE
'97 Zaksar LE
'97 Xizang
'97 STS 1500DS
'98 STS 1500DS

I broke the Zaskar in less than 6 months. Got them to warranty it with the Xizang Ti. Decided I wanted to try full suspension. Bought the plastic version of the LTS. Broke 3 of the link arms where the shock trunion mounted. They warrantied the first 2 no question. The 3rd was a fight. At the same time as the third the waterbottle boss had become unbonded from the frame, so it just spun. They said it was my fault since I mounted my light battery in the bottle cage. Apparently my Niterider battery weighed more than a bottle of water???? o_O They didn't engineer it for that. I think it was BS. Their solution was to duct tape the cage to the frame. This was all about the time they were about to go belly up....so what did they care.

GT can suck balls and go back to the grave.:thumbsup:
When I was first considering a full suspension, I let the past history of GT influence me, and I was convinced under the fog of upgradeitis that the XCR was the bike for me.
Things changed and I took longer to pick a bike. So glad I did!

Finally found out why the fruit from my trees would be doing good, then suddenly dissapear. . .

I don’t own a UDH bike so I don’t even have to be tempted.
I don't think that's necessary. I watched a video on Worldwide Cyclery and they had it mounted up to a Revel Rail 29er and it worked flawlessly. You could even see where the original derailleur hanger had been mounted.

Rail 29er is UDH….I imagine it will be the standard going forward

I watched an editorial video that said 2022 frames and up and compatible.

Watch the video. It's more than just electronic shifting.

Pinkbike also has an in depth review. In the comments, Mike Kazimer said he sat on someones shoulders and they both STOOD ON THE DERAILLEUR trying to bend it to no avail. By the time I need a new bike in 2025, this set up will be yesterdays news and prices will be cut in half. Might actually see what this electronic shifting is all about.

Ummmmm no.

SRAM just turned into Shimano. Requires you to run SRAM specific chain.

XX SL $150
XX $125
X0 $100

outrageous for a chain.
Yeah but Shimano chains Don't cost that much!!! Lol
I'm torn between the brands because SRAM shift so nice. And you're right, I ran that KMC chain and it was awesome.

But on their 50+ cassette the gear separation and I just hate it... We all have our little trigs...

I won't be buying any of that new stuff anytime soon. That chain looks like it should be on a motorcycle!!!!
