I'm heading down south to the OC area Friday night to Monday night.
Should I bring my bike ? Are there any good rides/trails there?
By the looks of the bike you posted the other day here, the Mt Wilson Shuttle in Southern Canada (Northern Los Angeles) would be a good fit. Keep in mind that this during weekend, we will be experiencing the effects of Tropical Storm Kay here. Expect rain, wind, and humid air.

Yeah theres a few trails here. I typically ride the same one over and over, though. More xc-ish. I'm game to give you a tour of my trail. nothing special but I like it. 13 miles and 1300 ft, and sometimes a lot of peeps.

If you prefer some more chunk fest I'm sure herz would be happy to oblige. That's if you can get him out of the ocean.

And snake charmer is correct in that it says rain all day Saturday ( unlikely IMO) but that can change to no rian at all real quick.

Many good trails, but it looks like rain at least late Friday and Saturday, but who knows.

I would say, bring your bike just in case. If it does rain, trails to avoid would be Whiting, Weir, & San Clemente ... they have literal bike stopping mud. Ask me how I know. :Roflmao

Luge/STT & San Juan hold up well for the most part.

California outlawed gasoline powered vehicles and wants them eliminated by 2035. In other news today: California issued a flex your power alert and outlawed charging of electric vehicles today as that will stress the grid beyond its capacity. honestly I cannot write things as funny as this.
Ps; I did not vote for these moronic leaders, but I will not gloat. What is wrong with the people of this state?

Given electricity rates, I can't believe anyone living in California in a single family home doesn't have solar panels by now. The sun charged my wife's car. No "flexing" needed.

All the solar companies seem like scammy door to door salesmen with financing/lease programs that hose you over 20 years/have a lean on my home. Pretty sure I'd just get ripped off.
