California outlawed gasoline powered vehicles and wants them eliminated by 2035. In other news today: California issued a flex your power alert and outlawed charging of electric vehicles today as that will stress the grid beyond its capacity. honestly I cannot write things as funny as this.
Ps; I did not vote for these moronic leaders, but I will not gloat. What is wrong with the people of this state?

In other news.......The super fun Ladies Only jumpline trail is no more. It was just a matter of time with all the people showing up, some with dirt bikes.

Turns out, we can't have anything nice and fun. (on property we don't own lol)

I am really lucky, I got to work with the power infrastructure group down there in Oceanside. Fabulous group of the people who put the zap in your homes. The biggest problem is the power grid wants to be calm and run under load and demand. Cowiforina is pushing solar and wind. Solar and wind have variable output which makes the grid tremble. This tremble leads to catastrophic failures. So if you want to replace all those generators, high voltage transmission lines, the transformer stations and a gazillion substations, a mega billion pole transformers I am ok with that. Everyone is going electric". "we are issuing a Flex your Power alert" Do not plug in your car, E bike, dishwasher, microwave, clothes washer or light bulbs. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hey have a fun read about an E car road trip from New Orleans to Chi town. Where reality meets the road. Google it or read the Wall St JournaL

It’s going to be a tight squeeze in the next few hours. But most of the day is no problem. I’m charging two cars tonight after 10pm, as always.

Adding cars to the grid stabilizes demand and spread it out across the day. Cars like the Ford Lightning can actually make the owner a few bucks by taking the house off the grid in the evening.

The green lines include wind and solar, the purple lines don’t. The dashed lines are supply, the solid lines are demand. Like I said, it’s gonna be close tonight. To your point, the grid likes a nice steady pull. Why not add some demand to the parts of the curve that can handle it?

And all this got the Gov to back Diablo Canyon. Better late than never. We need to raise the dashed line by a lot by 2035, even if most cars still aren’t EVs. If you take the number of miles Californians drive per day and assume 3miles per kwh, it’s like 300 Gwh per day. Which is a lot, and the industry is right to say so. But how disgusting would it be if the reason we don’t do the right thing is because it’s too hard?

I worked with an auto theft task force years ago. They were using a mid-80s Monte Carlo SS. I don't think it went longer than a minute or two before it was stolen each time. The excuses for stealing it were funny AF!

Don't know what that article mentioned SHARE hunts, there is nothing for bear in SoCal, or even locally at all.

Archery season for bear is currently open in the San Gabriels. This could be from a less than successful hunter.

Hopefully, this bear is found soon and either treated or put out of its' misery.
