I also heard your hamster needs to go for a walk and the goldfish are being moody.
These jokes are so last week! Perhaps it's time to move on gentlemen. Not me. I'm just asking for a friend. As you all know, on Saturdays, I have to perm the cat. I also need to mow my lawn and clean out my garage.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... We all know you have an "S" on your chest (stands for Santa Cruz)Ok....::remember, I’ve already done a couple 50 milers /10k+’ rides up there.

Pardon me. Obviously not aware of the inside jokes or secret handshakes. My only experience with these references is when they were applied to me as possible excuses to reject your ride invitation offered last week.Believe it or not....this isn’t about you. @herzalot has been using the cat as an excuse for years. The hamster and goldfish are now my new go to.

We make sandwich; I am meat!
+1There's no way in hell I'm getting in a group hug situation with you guys.
And that's why some people don't come on group IMTB rides... Rather stay home if it's not cool to ride less than 5000'.Pffffft...:..Option 4 & 5. Go big or go home.

Not my point. I already mentioned that I would do one of the options. Click here.I believe a couple of Mikie's route options work out to exactly 2,999.4 feet of gain. Well within your wheelhouse.

Just be aware of the implication- whether in jest or not - of alienating people who do not "go big." There's a whole thread about it.
Yes - "go big or go home." I'll stay on the bunny slope. You guys can go big.
In any community, there is pressure to assimilate to the norm. The norm of IMTB is big climbing numbers.
Again, not my point. I've ridden with many of the best and most impressive riders on this website, and they are gracious and patient with whomever is along for the ride. My point, which I seem to be failing to make, is the ethos of "go big or go home" that is pervasive on this web site. And some of us go anyway. Hell, I can't keep up with them either, but I enjoy riding along when they let me. As long as it's a route I've done before, I'm okay with them boogieing right along. As for Wrightwood, knowing that some will be there for the first time I doubt they'll leave anyone hanging.
