Two rides to book-end the day! Morning was 10 miles, with a lot of dew that got dirt and pollen all over everything. Fun spin up to Teddy's and Manzantia Trails. This evening I talked the teens into going for a spin. An additional eight miles down Silas Ridge and back home. A lot drier, and no rattling reptiles to be seen or heard. Trails are getting VERY overgrown, but work with whatcha' got!

I rideded my bike today. LCWP initially with Todd, but finished solo. Up Willow, down Old Emerald, up Emerald Canyon, over to and down Lizard, Camarillo, Stagecoach.

Todd was struggling with some health and medication issues, so he bailed after a horrible climb up Emerald Canyon.

Temps were great. Crowd was nil. Bikes are fun - but then, you knew that, didn't you?!

Oh - 2nd weekday ride this week. May be a record for me unless on vacation. No night events to cover.

My bicycle was ridden this afternoon.

We got an invite for a friend's bday ride at O'Neil Park. Knew it was gonna be a short flat ride. So I had to make it funner.

Rolled at 3:00 from Wahoo's. We had a 5:00 meet time at Rose Cantina. Up Borrego, Cattle Pond and Mustard.....it was humid and warm, but not hot...yet. Out the back of the park and up Modjeska Grade. Once on STT it got toasty. Saw only 1 other rider. The Professor and Mumbles joined me. The pace was comfortable. FU Hill was hot and sucked. Dropped down and passed the Luge. Goat Hill was just miserably hot. Once on top the breeze kinda picked up.

Around the backside we were in the shade...it was much cooler, for a little bit. We pushed on to Cadillac. Mumbles had never been down it, The Professor only had 1 run down it. Mumbles did ask how fast I can go down it....I had to break it to him that Cadillac isn't a trail to just Grip It and Rip It. By the bottom, I think he understood. When we rode it in Feb. it was still kinda tacky. Today....not a chance. It was dry, loose and slippery. Add in the Mustard growing in.....made it freaking awesome. Still few tricky spots, but really fun.

At the bottom we started down Trabuco Creek Rd., only to run into the B-day ride coming up our way. So we turned around and joined in to the gate at the forestry boundry. First time heading up that way since the fire. A few dips in the creek....quite refreshing.

Professor, Mumbles and I cut out early as we still had to ride back. We did stop at the Trabuco Canyon Country Store for a drink.

We crossed over into O'Neil to cut across. Up Live Oak Trail....ebikes scarring horses, douchebag riders running people off the trail....we had it all.

Dropped out at El Toro Rd. Roadied it up to the stables and re-entered Whiting at the top of Saddleback Ranch. Vulture View, Sage Scrub, Serrano Cow, Live Oak and back to Wahoo's. Beat dark by about 1/2 hour.

Good to get out for a longer ride during the week.
