You better make a parking spot for me...
Whoa!Rode both Friday and Sat. I call them chasing the snow rides. You climb til the snow gets too much to ride any further haha. Simply unbelievable experience, views and perfect trails, til the snow part that is.
First 3 pics are at Olallie in North Bend WA. The rest are at Ranging River in Snoqualmie WA. Both these trail systems opened just this past summer and are masterfully built singletrack!

Love that loop!!!It's Sunday, so that means HS practice at Crafton! Woke up with a headache and tight shoulders/neck from yard work yesterday. Bummer. This was my first ride longer than an hour on the 29'ameleon, and I kinda' miss the fatties. Much rougher and lower traction, although yeah, easier to climb. When I wear through these tires I'll try some 2.4" meats and see if that splits the difference! Picked up a few PRs on the climb, even with not feeling so hot though! Three out of four Chameleons were present, missing @riiz !!! Weather was absolutely perfect, 52F at the start, 67F at the finish. Loved it! Still not feeling much better after lunch and a nap.

Love that loop!!!
It was great to meet you @Redman! I will keep an eye out for you whenever I am out there with horses or on my bike.I rode my bike YESTERDAY & TODAY! Very uncommon for me.
Yesterday was my second best ride EVER! Last weeks was the best ever. Saturday was Aliso Woods for the second weekend in a row with my 10 yr old son. Just over 9 miles and nonstop smiles. A cruise for me but an adventure for the young gun. I’ll take em whenever I can get them. Afterwards was Dairy Queen for a much deserved Oreo cookie Blizzard.
Today was Santiago Oaks for a quick romp around. Took a few runs down hawk and cactus. Somehow managed a PR down hawk and I wasn’t really pushing it. On my way up Oak stopped at the first bench to let some horses coming down go by, & I got to meet @horsebikerider with her curious Cowgirl. Had a quick little chat and I was on my way to hit Yucca ridge. Usually this trail is wide open from top to bottom. Not today, 3 groups of hikers coming up as I was going down. No worries, I saw them way ahead of me. Passed them at a snails pace. It’s a beautiful day in the trails. Finished up with 12 miles and 2300’. Can’t wait to get back in the trail.
Saturday was just the sixth ride I've been to do since Thanksgiving. Figured I'd be hurt'n and I was. Made it up Harding to 4 Corners, where there was some convergence with @mtnbikej @Faust29 and @UPSed . Went up to Santiago Peak. At that point the easy thing way would have been to turn around and go back. Because I had encountered 2 dozen motor vehicles on Main Divide between 4 C's and SP , and didn't want to deal with that again, I decided to keep going forward. That was a good choice. Only had to deal with 3 more vehicles. In the midst of the OC " Endless Summer" I appreciated the rich greenery while heading to and down Lower Holy Jim. There was water flowing in several of the stream crossings. Passed 2 dozen hikers while descending LHJ. With a ringing bell, all those encounters where smooth and friendly. That was great. The people who did the recent trail work on Lower Holy Jim did an amazing and fantastic job! Much thanks for that. Saw a Doe and Buck on Trabuco Creek Road. On Live Oak back to Harding it was drizzling. 36 miles and 6350 ft. elev. gain.
Side note: I am guessing over 200 riders rode an off-menu trail that starts at the top of 5-Oaks today. Evidently that trail is the new "must-ride" around here. It's getting massive amounts of traffic. Gary saw a group of 25. I saw a group of ten at the top, and at least three groups of five exiting at the bottom the three times I rode by it. I have yet to try the run, and I am sure I would like it, but the bottom roll-down has claimed many victims and, technically, it's an illegal trail.
Actually, this time it was the Felt Bicycles invasion.Ahhhh....The Pinoy Army invasion.

Most likely - or at least highly influenced by Z-Waaaaz. Last time I saw the group, Zak wasn't there. I think he's injured. I don't do the Facebook or the Instagram, so I'm not in the know.Ahhh....then it was your pal Zak....

Had to scrap my plans for a bigger ride to get back and meet Geek Squad for a tv repair. So where else to ride than Oaks/Weir!
15mi 1900’ ups.. Cardio is just fine, legs need some strengthening though for Counting Coup.
Got a random text last night from my friend’s dad inviting me to a race at Camp Pendleton next month which I’m thinking I will take him up on. Apparently he is on some board of directors there now and will cover my entrance fee.

Now where am I going to ride tomorrow?
My buddy Tony texted me last night telling me he was doing a ride with Gina (She's the owner of All Pro Bicycle Shop here in Simi Valley) and that they would be doing a slow-paced MTB ride as a couple of their roadie friends are just getting into mountain biking. My thinking was cool. This would be a nice recovery ride. I started from home and ended up meeting them about five miles into the ride. The two newbies being strong roadies had no problems with the climbs but descending was another story. I guess we all started somewhere. Gina was great at giving them tips and whatnot to help their confidence in the dirt. For some reason it didn't seem like we went that far as it seemed like we were chit-chatting the whole ride. Remember this was supposed to be a recovery ride. Well if 33.4 miles and 4796' is a recovery ride then @Faust29 and @mtnbikej have officially ruined me. I did it on three scoops of Tailwind and feel great. Now where am I going to ride tomorrow?View attachment 36482
