Stupid instincts. It's 100% acceptable to dial it back, and just hang out. I know I see all the great rides posted here, and I feel like I should be riding 24-7! But doing something else, or nothing at all is fine.

Well stated, David. It's 100% acceptable to dial it back, and just hang out. I know I see all the great rides posted here, and I feel like I should be riding 24-7! But doing something else, or nothing at all is fine.
Fight or flight, man...Stupid instincts.
It's all about your ratios!Well stated, David.
People tend to think doing nothing is unproductive. Of course it's not. Otherwise they wouldn't call it doing nothing.
Doing nothing is just about the hardest thing I’ve ever done(not done?)Well stated, David.

It does take some practiceDoing nothing is just about the hardest thing I’ve ever done(not done?)
I totally don't misunderstand what you're not saying about non-nothing activities! I minimize moderation in my activities between bouts of maximizing the elation of non nothing! It does take some practice
Minimizing moderation in non-nothing activities can help. Or it can really hurt!
HUH!I totally don't misunderstand what you're not saying about non-nothing activities! I minimize moderation in my activities between bouts of maximizing the elation of non nothing!
And I take naps...

I can relate. We are at #2 at work. Makes for frustrating long days
I've seen different labels for those stages - just as apt.
The Enduro is getting the fork and shock serviced and the brakes bled at my LBS. Should be done tomorrow just in time for Big Bear this weekend
The Epic became a fixie when the rear cassette decided to stop freewheeling when I stopped pedaling. Took the rear wheel to my LBS as well. Time for a new freehub
I love having a LBS I can rely on
Finally! A post that doesn't trigger flashbacks to school!....
Awe crud, adulting stinks sometimesI didn't ride my bike today, because I was back at school...
As noted elsewhere, "like" ='s TFPU!Last night thinking a grind up Cold Creek trail would be fun. One look at the air at dawn, uh, maybe not.
I guess this new normal is going to require air pro along with helmet, pads and PLB.
Plenty of clean air here in Ventura County.Pretty much seems like the only place to ride these days is out of state with how much smoke there is in the air, quite amazing with how big this state is! Oh well, it’s the norm now. Fire fire fire! Elliptical or the tread mill is going to have to do. I have them so I may as well use them. Options, .

Mostly because I'm a wuss who didn't get up early enough.
