I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

Nope no new furniture being delivered.
Nope not hiking in the desert.
Nope not surfing.

Just playing in septic water.
I hear it is the cure for monkeyflu.....

I didn't find gold, only the origin of man

I haven't been on a bike for a few weeks, not even on this 3 day weekend !!
Just not motivated.
I have been working around our "Lotsa Rocks Ranch" everyday. There is too much stuff that needs to be done. The spousal unit wants the inside of the house painted this Summer, horse stables and arena built, garden area irrigation and deer fence installed, work shop built.......the list goes on.
Yes, I'm too old to be doing all this and too cheap to hire somebody.

I have never been more happy to have no yard - or grounds of any kind.

Good luck with all of that!

'cause general rule, don't ride around here on holidays. Always regret it. Spent all morning cutting my neighbors trees off my property. I hate ficus. Don't hate my neighbors but they are douches. They'll trim their trees right up to their side of the property line.

Second half of the day was on line negotiating with a Kia dealer. Apparently it is open season to hose the little guy. :gag: Screw them. My 30 yr old Land Cruiser shits on them. I found out it is worth close to what I paid for it to the right (sucker) buyer. Bring on the recession so I can get a deal already.

I didn’t ride my bike today on Memorial Day. Instead CJ and I went kayaking. Right past the Karst Mountain Bike Trail is a drop in into Beaver Lake. Beaver Lake is beyond huge, so hanging out in just one of its coves is like a lake itself. Everybody was warning us about going out on a holiday weekend as it turns out NWA is a big tourist destination. We decided to boldly go where no local would go. As you can tell from the pics… it was packed!

AWESOME!!! I can "feel" that bass in the those waters from here. They are calling to me.

Haven't ridden the bike since Sunday just before memorial day. I thought maybe I had a kidney a stone, but apparently I pulled my sciatic nerve. Damn....ain't the worst pain I've had, but no party that's for sure. After a few days of not being able to put on socks or pants. Now I'm feeling somewhat better, so tomorrow a slow short ride... I need it. And need to be good enough condition for an afterwork road ride in Vermont this coming week.

Note to self.... Getting older kinda blows in some ways.

After a nice afterwork road ride this last Wednesday while in Vermont I woke up the following day with a slight cough, thought eh, no big deal. Friday, decided I would wear a mask at work while down in the Hole to protect folks just in case. Not to mention it's really dusty damp and cold down there.
Then Saturday still had the light cough but felt ok otherwise for the fight for home from Newark NJ, with a plan to ride Sunday.

Well yesterday afternoon I took a home COVID test and was positive. Didn't take the 15 min to show the results...nope... Less than 2 min and was obvious the test was positive.

Then the light cough took a turn for the worse in the afternoon. Last night was, unlike @herzalot mild symptoms, well let's just say rough.. rolling Cough fever chills aches..:facepalm::mad:.
Today much much better, but time will tell.

So looks like I ain't going to ride today after all..... :(
