I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

I went be riding for a few more weeks....

Had been home for 9 days, could tell my father was having a rough winter, but Currently back in Canada as of yesterday after receiving the phone call I've been emotionally and mentally preparing for over the last 4 years. Not going to make saying good bye any easier.

I clicked "like" in support, but I do not like. Best wishes. This kind of thing sucks immensely.

Hang in there. The trails can wait - family first. Prayers.

Didn't ride today, or tomorrow, and most likely not till next weekend and that's if all goes well.
Spent the last week in Vegas for work, and as usual long days and came home with a gnarly respiratory infection. Been horizontal since I got home.....I freaking hate Vegas....always get sick there and can go the entire week working and never see the sky.
Mountain biking f#cking rocks, at least I see the sky!

Sh!t - sorry to hear, my friend. Healing vibes to you and your lungs.

Take care, @Danimal. That URI bug can be pervasive. My buddy had it for many weeks and finally had to change antibiotics to reel it in. Best wishes!

Cuz...no bikes allowed.

Wood or rock? It’s a long story...

Those smooth hillsides have an interesting texture that looks like you could roll down em on a bike. They are actually very soft, really sticky mud.

Bummer...

Didn’t ride today because I worked and spent the evening catching a gorgeous, human friendly feral cat outside my apartment for the TNR - FixNation program. He’s at my parents house right now. Surgery tomorrow morning. Release back into the apartment complex courtyard tomorrow night. One cat at a time.

Strong work for the human and animal communities. Salute to you, Sir Demetrio. :notworthy::thumbsup:

Daddy duty today. My 9 yo daughter started water polo in September, so it was time to see the big girls play. We went over to Woolett Aquatic center to watch Laguna Beach HS girls water polo in the semifinals of a mid-season tournament. Holy crap. That team is no joke. They just dominated San Marcos (Santa Barbara) 12-2 in a game that wasn't anywhere near as close as the score indicated (could have been 20-2). But in the other semifinal Foothill beat Mater Dei. Foothill is no joke either, and they beat LBHS earlier this year. Not today. Come from behind 8-6 victory for the #1 LBHS Breakers.

Best part - on the way there, my 4th grade daughter told me all about how our government is structured and why...including the three branches and their functions, the bill of rights and the improvement of rights over time. If only Congress and the President understood this!

Can you tell it was a great morning? Bikes are stupid. This is life.

And so it begins. I’m at the opposite end of the youth sports years. it’s been great for my daughter but i am definitely ready to move on from this part of childhood.

Foothill should send some of those water polo girls over to the soccer field...been a tough season.

It's interesting how some high school programs find a groove and just dominate. Always tied to a legendary coach, but there's more to it than that.

And the only thing water polo girls know how to do with their feet is drown their opponents!
