I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

My first time being in New England as an adult, and I loved it! Our stay in Vermont was so pleasant and relaxed although a bit of a jarring to then go to Boston, but we acclimated fairly quickly. Picked up 7 Day pass Charlie cards, and rode buses and the T everywhere. I love being able to ride the bus not have to worry about driving! Only piss-smell was one of the elevators at a station. I think it was Haymarket not sure. Otherwise, they smell better than BART stations! Everyone was really exceptionally nice and helpful to us, which was sort of unexpected very appreciated! The only people be noticed the whole trip that were a couple of a-holes drivers yelling at each other at one point. I guess if you take people out of cars, they tend to get along better!

Not gonna like that, @-ROCKY-. :stop:

No car? End of summer? What is this doom you speak of? Dose of endorphins, stat!!!!!!!

Overload of sh!t going on the past few days. So, no ride today. I worked and then to top it all off, I got my first migraine headache of the warm season.
Hiding in a dark room now. Lovely...
Easy does it, snake man. Hope you get out of the weeds soon!

two weddings in two days. I arranged two set of 3 sprays in the ceremony area of the outdoor venue. The bride loved them and her bouquets so much she cried. I also put down a 100 ft runner while guests were watching. I was supposed to put down rose petals but nobody put down the runner, so when in Rome.... I walked on the runner in my socks as I spread the petals while people were walking over the runner. You think, they would think
Anyways now a tired puppy. Very nice venue at the bottom of Space Mtn
Happy life at the bottom of Space Mtn downhill trails

No pics?!

No riding the last 3 days. Family time in Santa Barbara. Did some canned, but still fun touristy stuff, including a rad whale watching excursion. Great food. The girls like to sleep in, whereas as dawn is my power time. Works out nicely actually, and it was great to grab coffee and stroll the quiet streets. Found a killer morning meditation spot pictured below. SB has always been a place that I've felt really connected with, but since the kid was born I haven't spent much time there. Not necessarily a great kid town, and trying to entertain her in the few trips there we've done there always felt counter to the easy vibe of the town. This was the first time she really enjoyed herself too, and seemed to appreciate being there. Good stuff.

Kool! The zoo there as great and afterward, simply walk across the blvd. onto the beach. Such a great place SB is and it's half way to an even better place. ;)

Zoo is awesome, but I miss the crooked-necked giraffe. Unfortunately my daughter just isn't into zoos, though I respect that in it's own way. What's your even better spot? I'm pretty smitten with the whole SLO/Atascadero/Paso area as well. My wife says she won't retire somewhere that's cold (specifically Mammoth is out), so I have this vision of Atascadero.

Down in San Clemente for a couple weeks to enjoy the cool temps! Today was move in day, but our room had plumbing issues form the previous people who plugged up the shower with sand. People are great. Finally got a room @ 7:30 after dinner at Pizza Port. Frickin' romper room in there... the whole place was packed with at least 40 kids just in the top seating area, and probably another 25 down below. Strangely enough two of my teenagers ended up on the floor rolling around under the table the same as the three year olds next to us.

Excited to put the 2019 Fox DHx2 & #325 SLS through its first paces, I had a planned ride with old friend who is on his first mtb, a Scott hardtail. The route was mainly fireroad, with a trip down Lizard thrown in @ about 20% of normal pace. The shock did not make it through the ride. It appears the compression seals have let go...

So I did a hike up Motorway with the GF to take the sting off the shock failure. Hopefully BikeCo can get me back in action ASAP, supposed to be racing on this shock in a couple weeks.

Because I was on a boat racing across Squam Lake in New Hampshire. I did pass by the turnoff to Highland Bike Park on my way up from Boston this morning. I flinched a little.

78* water and 50 mph...

Was planning on a ride this evening , but as the work day came to a close I was just really tired so chose to skip it. Being tired probably has something to do with unfortunately waking up a 3am  and an hour if yoga at 4am cause I was bored.

( In case you're wondering, I do not look as good doing yoga as @mountaingirl sara does,)
I’ll bet you do Danimal, let’s see some pics eh:sneaky::D

Sure is a whole different world out there... was depressing flying into LAX and just seeing the grey grid for hundreds of miles in every direction.
