I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

Rain, rain, rain...
Pretty sure I have been rained on every single day of this trip so far-19 days!
My wife woke up this am and said "sorry" as if it were her fault. It's not, obviously.
I have the rain gear but no one wants to ride.
At least my old hardtail got upgraded to XT 10spd and XT 785 brakes. The in-laws can enjoy it.
Tomorrow I will fly back south, near Hong Kong, and the forecast is for more rain. I don't have a bike there so bring it on!

Riding up to Victoria Peak would be quite the workout.

The mother of my cats gets to do whatever she wants today. The groan about yesterday’s protracted ride indicates that “nothing” is a distinct possibility. I’ll campaign for a walk in the woods when I see a weak moment...

Don’t forget to call your moms! To all the mothers: :notworthy::thumbsup:

Or yesterday. Spent the weekend replacing doorknobs, striker plates, and hinges throughout the house, going from standard yellow brass to Venetian bronze.

I'd like to find and strangle the stupid S.O.B. who installed the originals. Straight slot wood screws for the least accessible hinge plates???? Leaving stripped screw heads in place???? I had to drill the heads off three of them, then get the pliers to bite to unscrew the remnants. Thank (insert favored deity) I had experience with that when I was building airplanes.

Now I feel like I have Popeye forearms.:gag: :Roflmao

Backed out of a group ride for this hike with my daughter today... #worthit

Thanks, it is a magical spot!

I used to go there when I was in HS, back in the day. We took a keg there once on a cart made for hauling out deer....all foam by the time we got there.
That ladder looks stout compared to the old fire hose we used to climb on.
Jumped/slid off the top off the waterfall , surprised I didn't end up paralyzed. Young and dumb...

Cool that its still there!

...because I was feeling dizzy and out of sorts for the second day in a row. The wife took me to Urgent Care to make sure that everything is OK. All tests were good but I have not been sleeping well and I have a mild case of Vertigo, so that explains how I have been feeling. This is like having a migraine without the headache. Off to bed early for me.

The best part of the visit was when they moved me to the holding area were they house several patients together, separated only by curtains. I was trying my hardest not to laugh out loud because some of them were talking to their visitors (family members) as though they were in private.

Here's hoping it resolves with no bad outcomes.

The Canyon Creek employees (my kids) have abused that spot it in the same way;). I’ve been taking my kids back there for yrs, it was nice to see it so healthy again!
You need to go check it out again:thumbsup:

Dang, sorry to hear about the vertigo. I got whacked with it a few years back, and it's definitely no fun. Feel better.

I'm glad the wife took you to be checked out... But don't be afraid to go back if you're still feeling under the weather. We lived in the ER last summer, and it wasn't until the 3rd visit that we finally started to get some answers...

No - not siblings - just the first to get into jammies. The irony is that they were all socializing in the same place in cyberspace - Roblox. They played for a while then we moved onto other activities. They are all watching Peter Rabbit right now, except those who have gone back to Roblox or Minecraft. They are co-constructing and sharing, so not much different from electronic legos. My daughter's childhood babysitter is here monitoring the herd overnight (at her insistence).

And sorry to hear of your difficulties @SnakeCharmer. I'll throw some prayers and mojo your direction for a speedy and complete resolution.
