Hellacious Ride 2018

I can give you guys a trail report after next weekend's Grizzly 100...but the trail crew up there just cleaned up 7-oaks after the utility crews just left the trees in place that they took down while doing their utility work.

But the lower part below Morton is always dry and rarely ridden (or given much TLC), and all the more fun for that reason.

Thx......I expect 7 Oaks to be soft and loose....unless we get some unexpected rain just before the ride.

I agree on the the lower section of SART below Morton Peak.....pure fun.

Floop x 7

I've never seen anything like 7 Oaks in the Floop pictrues. Or SART below Morton Peak...

Edit: I'm thinking of a "test" Kokopelli setup. Gears (grudgingly) with the big boy 2.5 Minion up front on the new Chameleon frame. We'll see... When I wrote the ride report last year, I told my future self to bring the Minion next time. The Ardent Race was nuts on that loose stuff. We'll see if future self listens.

I have added a single stipulation:

This ride is only open to IMTB members. I have to have a solid headcount and the number of interested is here bigger than I expected.

No bringing a friend of a friend.

Also, all attending will have to help out in one way or another. Don’t show up expecting a free ride.

Thanks for your understanding.

And don't forget this is a charity fund raiser. So if you are participating make a tax deductible donation to the cause. If you are not using the shuttle there is an option to donate any amount you choose.

P.S. we are on the radar of their FAQ they know we are masochist and going to pedal up. So this may be part of the added interest we are getting here.

Has nothing to do with us....if it’s like last year, we never ran into the official Hell Ride. Like it was pointed out last year....we just chose the same day to do an epic ride.

And don't forget, if you're not into the J-Epic, the regular plain-Jane Hell Ride is definitely going on: http://www.bikeforbender.com/sart-hell-ride-18/

This is a highly recommended ride if you haven't done it before. Also highly recommended to have them shuttle you up to South Fork trailhead vs. doing a self-shuttle.

There will be A GREAT raffle at Hangar 24 at the end of the ride, where you get to watch @Luis win most of the swag!

@pinnacle10 needs to talk this up some!!!
