The head set is a ZS44 top EC49 bottom. I called around a few shops Friday and no one had one instock. Arrrgh
The Bike co in lake forest had one cane creek forty that fit ready so I had them install it Friday (they did not have service time to do it.,....so I stuck around buying stuff untill they found time and it made its way to install service on a busy Friday). Popped on rims, spokes, nipples, rotors and other random supplies. Thanks Chris, Cara and team for making that happen Friday.

Sh!t, really wanted the Chris King BB, and carbon cranks of some sort, or Race face Turbine blue cranks and E-13 cassette..... but spread sheet is crossing the $5k figure even with all the SALE items and some industry connections and that is NO GOOD!!!!!!
Gonna need to go used or ultra cheep cranks/cassette/bb to get this built.

Anyone have an OEM pull off 175mm cranks laying around?

You've come this far, now the project is hitting the wall because of a few drive parts and tires? Suck it up, finish your build, and go ride the Sh!t out of your fully awesome bike. Substandard drive parts and tires on an otherwise awesome bike are no bargain at all.

E13 Tires

Yes, I've heard the E13 tires are great, however you absolutely cannot go wrong with a Maxxis Minion DHR2 rear and a DHF front. A lot easier to find - proven over and over again by the best racers and Rampagers in the nastiest situations. Long lasting, great cornering and not slow. If the E-13s are slowing your build, get the Minions and take your time getting the E-13s. When you wear out your Minions (in 1200 miles), put on the E-13s.

Oh - and @dustyyoungblood I have a SRAM 11 spd. chain you can have. Ridden about 15 times. And a SRAM 32 front chainring. 1 ride on it, that I will sell for a nominal fee - only in the interest of getting this build done. PM me if you want either or both.

Agreed, but in the interest of sussing this out:

Why not slap a Sram NX or Shimano SLX or XT cassette on there for well less than $100? Cassette is a consumable, so if you hate the cassette, wear it out and upgrade right?

BB, not sure if CK is worth the money? Shimano Saint for $22 here: http://www.jensonusa.com/Threaded/Shimano-Saint-Bottom-Bracket?cs=Gold
No idea if it's any good, but the rest of the Shimano Saint line is pretty well regarded, and at that price, if you really hate it, then just dump it and upgrade to the CK.

Cranks, mostly buying weight savings for rock bashers, right? So just buy what you can afford with the interface that you want.

E13 tires - didn't @doublewide have some he posted about?

Anyways, at the end of the day, in the grand scheme of things, get what you want to make you happy or get what you need to hit your budget, it'll all ride like a bike.

Oh, and serious question... Some new cranks are listed as "Boost Specific", so the chain line sits 3mm out from "standard" However, I should be able to run non boost cranks no problem with a boost rear. correct????

Boost cranks are the same as non Boost cranks...it is the chain ring that makes the difference. Direct Mount Boost rings are offset 6mm while non Boost are offset 3mm.

Read here for a more thorough explanation:

You can have the chain if Dusty doesn't want it, but I need a nominal exchange for the chainring. One Million Dollars ought to do.

Or something reasonable...

I am gonna be out of town through New Years. Feel free to sell the ring/chain to whomever wants it. If i need it still next week i'll come get them
