Rims: Easton ARC's
Spokes: Black
Nips: Blue or Red
Drivetrain: Sram

This is just my partial opinion, I am sure this will be a highly discussed and very debated. Either way it should be a sweet ride.

Is your Diamond Green? If so, the red hubs are a bold statement. I am guessing you are going with the Black Diamond. The Topaz is black with green bits.

I am partial to Race Face Turbine cranks, BB and chainrings. Shimano derailleurs and shifters, Shimano XT or XTR Trail Brakes, KS LEV Integra seatpost, ChroMag saddle and KMC chain. Doubt you will need the angleset. Just another way to be in angst that you need to change the angle.

Diamond is black. The little green bits on the DVO stuff is gonna cost me some points for sure

Turbine cranks aye? I saw a software demo about how they developed the forging shape and it nearly sold me. They made the short list and come in blue!!!! Can they beat standard XT in terms of stiffness/weight?

Rims.......I would have to go with a 29 front and a 27.5 rear. :cautious:

Spokes would be DT Comps/DB 2.0-1.8/Brass Nipples......no need to go getting all exotic. Keep it simple.

RD: Deore XT Shadow Plus. You don't need to spend more, it's got the clutch, and it works. Every. Single. Time. I haven't had to touch mine in the two years I've owned it, through thousands of shifts and 2,500 miles.

Longtime Shimano XT fan here. Am I crazy to think of going budget sram GX group this time? I really need to go low budget or some used stuff to complete the build.

Rear derailleur isn't as important....as long as you get a nicer shifter. Everything I tear says that for the money X.01 isn't worth the upgrade over X.1/GX/NX when it comes to RD.

I went low budget with my Jet 9 meaning Shimano SLX. It works every bit as good as the M8000 XT I had on my Stumpy. Just a thought.

I was just having that discussion with a mechanic. That many like the gx derailleur over the higher models and pair with a fancy shifter.

If you have ever spoken to Toby Henderson for more than 5 min you know he is the guy to do this and make a Great innovative drive train that exceeds rider expectations at any price.

I recently have had a bad experience with BOX, they would not warranty a carbon bar that was a couple of weeks out of warranty. It was a great product until I dealt with the warranty department.

Did it break in half?

No it started bubbling up and they acknowledged that something was wrong but would not warranty it. It was a few weeks out of warranty. I could see if it was a lot longer but not a few weeks. Here is a pic.

Warranty periods have to be strict or they are meaningless. Not to say that a dealer couldn't fudge the date if only a few weeks out.

Initial quality and public perception will make or break them.

I understand how warranties have a date they expire, but when the manufacturer acknowledges that something is wrong and then does not stand behinds it product it not someone I will/would do business with.
