E-motorcycle Collision San Clemente

There is some pretty good video footage of that idiot's face. Someone will recognize him and turn him in. Shouldn't take long.

Fleeing the scene on video is only going to make it worse for the idiot.:facepalm:
He’s been identified- he’s the same guy that has almost killed me twice. He loves bombing downhill around blind corners and can’t control his electric motorcycle worth a damn. And he’s a real di*k about it. Glad he’s been ID’d.

That guy would have been a DB... is a Total DB no matter where he lived .... nothing to do with SoCal.

Truer words have never been spoken.

When you stereotype you will be wrong most of the time. Show me a stereotype and I will show you exceptions. And in the case of DB's on SoCal trails... there are DB's everywhere. Just fewer in NC... as has been statistically proven through the BNut NC Niceness Survey.

I lived 15 minutes from there, and never rode the San Clemente single tracks...

Do you have a lot of issues with the motos there or was this an anomaly? And any more word on how the victim is doing?
Haven’t heard about the victim other than he had surgery for his broken jaw and it’s wired shut for 6 weeks. I really have t had many issues with motos on the local trails..I’ve seen them occasionally but most of them slow down and at least try to be cool. This guy is a menace.

Been enjoying CHSP (Lambert side) almost every weekend and haven't seen an "e" in awhile, the Green River side usually has one or two, but careful riders. The Lambert side has an area with a sign "Motorcycle Parking Only". I'd like to take my errand e-bike out there and take a picture in front of it.

They are out there....I haven't been out there lately and NOT run across several of them.

Its an everyday occurrence for the last year or so & the groups of them are getting bigger. They are starting to use lights & ride at night now too. Can’t say they are silent though, they sound like a squadron of Tie Fighters out there on the fireroads. They use the steeper trails for hill climb practice & I have almost been hit head on by one on HITF in the tightest section. Can count on their tires being the first ones in the mud after a big storm too. I know I’m gonna end up smacking one of them upside the head with shovel one of these days. I hope the city starts to do something about them on the streets.

Even worse (to me), my wife and I were walking st B* on Christmas eve and encountered two large ICE motorcycles wedging themselves out of the gate. Guess tje road to Maple Springs must have been closed. May be of interest, but early (crack of dawn to 9:00 AM or so), the Green River side of CHSP is almost devoid of any bicycle traffic, including "e".

That’s cause they sleep in and come out in packs.

Off to a great start this year…

Caught a guy riding a Chinese dirt bike around Sycamore in Riverside. When I confronted him he didn't care that it was illegal, and says he has been doing it for 30 years, which I highly doubt. He was also ripping UP the DH trails, tearing into berms and jumps that the trail workers just cleaned up/built causing damage along the way.

F$ckin hell. People!

6 Kids No Brains is a downhill jump line. So, an eBiker was probably climbing it ... just because he could.

It is all (almost) Pendleton land. It might be a good time to put some Marines on eBike duty and confiscate eBikes like they do on their land they don't like us riding on.

The trails south of the upper fireroad are Camp Pendleton land which was leased for 50 years to the state to create San Onofre State Park. The lease just expired but was renewed for two years so that a longer term lease can again be put in place. The accident occurred on a trail north of the fireroad. Not sure who has jurisdiction of that land.

It is Camp Pendleton land. If mtbers had enforced our own instead of smiling nicely we might not have this problem. I talk Sh!t to eBikers all the time, so I feel like I have done my part.
I posted about a pit bike running around at Sycamore Canyon in Riverside, riding UP the jump line, and a few people jumped in to tell me I was wrong for calling him out. I don't think talking Sh!t to eBikes is going to go far anymore.
