I lust after the Jones bikes.
I lust after the Jones bikes.
That's my favorite part!I dunno.....I'm sure they ride great, but don't like the looks, especially with the truss fork on it.
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder! That's my favorite part!
Big brand bikes are great products, but they have no soul. That is all.
Damn pretty too!
The Joker approves!Check out this build from Tantrum CyclesView attachment 31853
Yep...Except, they are probably all working on e-bikes...
Uh-oh:
From the PinkBike comments..

Please~ keep your moto bike in the EU where they belong. I'm not supporting any company that's pushing emtb's on us and potentially getting mountain bikes banned on our trails.

Who do you support?
lemonaid (9 hours ago)
@employee7: Yeti, Niner, Salsa, Santa Cruz, Norco, Evil, Turner.. and others. The companies that aren't trying to exploit the trail access we've worked hard to earn to flip a quick buck on the emtb trend. Specialized especially should be called out for their shameless work in progressing the emtb marketing onto unassuming consumers. They and others are killing their brand."
Could Pink/lemonaid be an antidote to the eKoolaid?
Didn't you mean tubeless? That bike looks like it's got a soul. Or at least knows where to find one.

Good, cause otherwise you might as well..LOL It does take me on some pretty sweet Soul Rides...
they did a good job of hiding the motor!!!
Humans... they're over-rated.Agreed...i don't see a person anywhere in that picture.
A year late. Mondraker filled all three spots on the World Champs DH podium last year. I believe that's the only time that has happened. That Mondraker looks quite tasty.
I've always like that. Rose, fuscia, anything in that spectrum floats my boat.Old Bronson Fuchsia.
I think if they had, the frames would say "Made in Taiwan" not "Made in China." I think Giant only does entry level production in the PRC.Hasn't Santa Cruz out-sourced all their frame production to Giant anyway?
5.10 shoes are better than a lot of stuff out there, but the Stealth Rubber adidas I bought a year ago blow them away. I've had 6-7 pairs of 5.10, and they are all heavy bricks that fall apart if you look at them sideways and they seem to generate their own sand inside the shoe. My adidas are lighter, more comfortable, and have lasted longer than 2-3 pairs of Impacts put together. I'll be sad to see 5.10 go, but my feet are happier in adidas....Five Ten is basically going out of business after being purchased by a faceless off-shore international conglomerate. They were purchased by Addidas a few years ago, and everything was cool, until it wasn't. Adidas just wanted the intellectual property of their rubber compound formulation. Got that, now the company is no more. So if you like your 5.10 shoes... better stock up!
BMX style, yo.That Jones looks like it has a 29+ on the F, 29 R
I have been very intrigued by tantrum cycles' suspension design. May be my next bike. Oh wait, I need money for that...Check out this build from Tantrum CyclesView attachment 31853
I would like to demo one of them just to see how the suspension actually works and feels.I have been very intrigued by tantrum cycles' suspension design. May be my next bike. Oh wait, I need money for that...

Given the number of linkage-driven single pivots on the World Cup DH and EWS podium, I am guessing this phenomenon is more myth than reality. I know my Yeti 303RDH (linkage driven single pivot) didn't seem to have an issue with it. Sam Hill's Nuke Proof seems to work OK down the hill, as does Richie Rude's Yeti. There are a few Konas, Commencals and others that don't seem to hinder their pilots in that department.Good looking rig for sure.
I'm curious to know how all these (essentially) single pivot designs are dealing with the suspension stiffening up under braking forces?
