Light and dry setup for el Camino de Diablo, 2-3 day ride with one good water stop. Eight liters on board – six in the frame bag, two in the bar bag. Plus the bike bottle. Just the pizza is missing. That and little else will go in my 18-liter backpack. The Krampus is a workhorse, it just works better with a load.

@senderos_949, if you tell me Schenker was in the lineup I'm going to have to kill you, bro. Michael went MIA the first tour I saw them. Next tour venue was a bar where my 18-yr-old sad a$s got carded at the door with a perfectly good ticket, born eight (edit: two) months too late. UFO and Scorpions sure were beneficiaries of MS's axemanship and riffing brilliance. UFO has a great catalogue with all their personnel. Cheers!

Paging @herzalot and @mtnbikej and @forgive-me-for-not-specifying-the-rest-of-you-OCers @Ocpop @konakc @Lost Kiwi @littlewave et al....what do you anticipate will be closed tomorrow (Saturday) in OC? I’ll have about 4-5 hours to ride in the afternoon. Also, @Old&InTheWay @mtnbikej , what is the approximate elevation of the snow line? Thanks dudes.

I would think all of OC Parks trails are likely to still be closed. It is raining right now at my place.

The Luge will be open but probably muddy. I know there will be some Luge trail work too, starting at 8 AM.

San Juan is always open and does not get muddy, at least on the Cocktail Rock side.

This ^^^^

But I’m not one of the believers that San Juan should be ridden in the wet....the lower section is still muddy.

Sorry bro but yes - I saw the band in their prime with Schenker on that magical Gibson Flying V - probably supporting their "Lights Out" album. I was more into the harder, guitar driven rock so listened to UFO, Scorps, Nugent, early AC-DC over the Rush, Styxx, Boston-type more melodic rock that was prevalent in the late 70s. Good times!

I do other sports when it snows, so I don't really know where to ride.

Maple Motorway sounds like the go-to in the rain, but I'm not sure if they'll let you ride up Silverado canyon. Probably.
