Who's Riding Where???

Sorry you got waylaid, Tom. Good to take care of family.

This weekend I’m showing the weez a beautiful but largely unused local area. (Zero users when I was there midweek.) Not much ST but I’m still psyched to nose around. Short but steep ride planned up into a section I haven’t ventured. Hundreds of people see this area every day from I-80. I drove past it a hundred times myself. A couple snow patches up there still, looks like a good area to spot game.

Bicycles are awesome.

U just cant have too many HTs ;)

So, just curious... how many car miles are folks puttin' in to get some bike miles?
I used to head out to Santiago Creek mid-week for a HJ->Main Divide -> W. Horsetheif and saw nary a soul on the trail.
I always felt guilty fo the drive and now so so many of the trails have burned/washed out that it others are impacted.

How far do I have to drive from Seal Beach nowdays to find a peaceful trail?

About 100 miles or more for a peaceful trail. Or just the right timing!

Whatever it takes to get the goods. Three hours or less one way 1x a week if need be. Out the front door, preferably.

That tandem is cool!!! TFPU  Holy Jim trail will rise from the ashes I'm sure.

@kingaucho wants to put in some time on the Tahoe Rim later this week. This should be a nice hit – Tahoe Meadows around Marlette Lake and back on Flume/Incline etc.

July 4 I'll be in OC. I wanna ride Joplin assuming crowds wont be up that high in the mountains. I've done it solo before but welcome company who doesn't mind a slooooow climb up Harding. You can do interval training if you get antsy. I haven't ridden in 2 weeks and wont have time until maybe next weekend.
What time you thinking of starting @DangerDirtyD ? I haven't done Harding or Joplin yet. I should be able to persuade the OH to give me some time off for good behavior.

I’d help you out, but I’m gonna be in Montana that weekend.

Getting one last ride in while I'm here in Durango. Headed up to 7600' above the town of Dolores to escape the heat at the Boggy Draw & Italian Canyon trail systems. Mostly intermediate blue stuff but all in the forest with incredible views as far as the eye can see at the edges. This area never fails to put a smile on my face....very similar to the Big Laguna & Cuyamaca stuff out by Nobel Canyon. https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/4352303/boggy-draw-loop

I took my daughter up there the last time she was here.
