Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
Black Yeti had a child, bam-ba-lam
The damn thing gone wild, bam-ba-lam
Said it weren't none of mine, bam-ba-lam
The damn thing gone blind, bam-ba-lam
I said oh, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam

Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
She really gets me high, bam-ba-lam
You know that's no lie, bam-ba-lam
She's so rock steady, bam-ba-lam
And she's always ready, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam

Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
She's from Colorado, bam-ba-lam
Way down in Rocky Mountains', bam-ba-lam
Well, she's shakin' that thing, bam-ba-lam
Boy, she makes me sing, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam
Whoa, Black Yeti, bam-ba-lam

Did you spend all day typing that up? Or did you do voice/dictation to text? I picture you singing to your computer.

Why do they always give me the cheap sh!t pain killers when I fall down & go boom?

First you guys can just stop NOW with the Yeti Porn... e...F'nough already... seriously I am struggling to control myself..says the man with the 5 month old bike.

Second Sorry to hear about the fall and break

Third, as always, I am such a downer but at our ages (I am guessing here) the wrist heals slow and needs a lot of attention. Put in your time and work, get out there and hike with weight in the pack to keep in shape etc.

Fourth... Oh never mind... Forget all that ... your loaded at this point... enjoy

Mr. Watson sorry to hear about your bike incident, hope all goes fine w/ your surgery and healing up I know it really sucks to get hurt. Be patient brother and before you know time will pass and you will be riding again. Get some rest, go for some hikes keep the legs active, Get well soon.

Well. At least we have one poet on the forum. :whistling: @rossage

What a bummer Mikie ! Was the crash on the lower part that was all trenched/rutted out after all the rain? I've thought about taking my McLoud up there to fix that spot! Hope and pray that the healing process goes well. I know the hand/wrist therapist at Kaiser in Lancaster. Her name is Brenda and she really helped a basketball buddy of mine get his shooting hand back in order! Her husband is the guy with Parkinsons that I ride with occasionally. She rides a bit too. Let me know if you want to cruise the aqueduct or the easy stuff at P-12 for physical therapy!

It's all too early to tell. I'm waiting for this coming Tuesday to even find out what the recovery plan even looks like...
If they say, "Rebreak to set some bones", ( since I'm thinking there plan is taking too long to unfold), then heads are going to roll..

Bringing this back from the "I'm gonna ride my bike" thread..

2nd opinions are essential if there's any question as to the competence of your doctors. I'd want an orthopedist who understands mountain biking and will operate accordingly.

+1... Don't take those opiates – just flush em!

If you're in so much pain you cannot sleep, I can see an opiate application. Short of that, why suppress your immune system if you don't have to? Constipation a common side effect too. Habit forming. Machinery/driving hazard. Bad.

+1.......

When i broke my leg, I thought I needed them. Hated the way they made me feel.

When I broke my humerus....I chose not to take any of the meds that my Ortho prescribed for me. Even after surgery, it was just Advil.

As for the opiates, I think @Mikie should keep taking them long enough to loosen up the credit card and purchase that Yeti!

Bike Mag:
Even on slower trails, the SB5.5c goes fast. This is a bike that’s fabulously stable, able to maintain speed and composure through awkward, chunky terrain, and is perfectly content being stuffed into a corner afterwards. Perhaps it isn’t the most ‘flickable,’ or the easiest to manual, but none of that matters much if you get this bike into rugged, raw, stomach-shriveling stuff, where it will attack with the long-legged confidence of a rabid Great Dane.
