There is a couple places with sand but I think the fire road offers a lot more social aspect than the singletrack for this type of ride...

Oh yeah, great forcast! It's been overcast, cool and drizzling here for the last couple days. I'm looking forward to clear skies and the sun!!!Ok riders, I am bringing some beer, a few packages of chicken sausage and a side dish, also some utincels and bowls or plates. There will be extra food so if you don’t have time to stop and get something don’t worry about it!
I also have some energy gels(shot blocks) if anyone is in need

I'm gonna say no so check in as soon as you turn off hwy 138 before you go up into the hills. As we climb the fire road, we will clear the hills for moments and there will be a signal. Also, at places along the DH on the way back down but pulling over on that trail is suicide.
