Such a terrible situation. Prayers for them my friend.
Thanks for sharing, sounds like they've got their work cut out for them over there.Hey thanks for thinking of me Derek.
Yeah, not good. We live about 20 miles from the devastation.
A small town of Decanter was crushed. Bentonville had some damage, Rogers was smacked hard. We have friends at our church whose house was totaled.
A 2 story and they slept up stairs.

We kept getting these texts starting around 2:00am early Sunday morning. I was about to tell CJ to shut her phone off when she realized it was Jenny texting they were hunkered down under the stairs as the bedroom up stairs where they slept was gone.
Sunday morning main transportation arteries were shut down with thousands of trees ripped out of the ground and tossed across the highways.
We spent over 4 hours trying to get to them and finally had to give up.
The town of Rogers, where our church is, literally looked as if it was in a bomb raid from World War II.
I just got back from the Church taking a generator and power cords to hook up a refrigerator and some lights for the daughters of the Pastor who is out of town.
Getting there and back from my place takes us on Hwy 12 that winds through a lot of the devastation. Heartbreaking to see folks who literally have nothing… have even less.
Huge oak trees that have crushed shitty little homes, and people standing outside looking at them as that was all they could do.
Thousands upon thousands of trees ripped out of the ground with a massive root ball 15 feet in diameter strewn about.
Not much of a Memorial weekend.
Yep that’s why I’m rolling out at 4:30 to meet my cousin at hawes for a 5;30 roll. Early bird or no worm out here.Starting Saturday 5 days of +100° then 3 days of 90°s then 5 days of +100° again.
Time to buy a light set and do some night riding in the hood.
The ENTIRE lower 48 is going to sizzle today.
Nope. See my post above. And even cooler at the coast. The ENTIRE lower 48 is going to sizzle today.
I'd bet real money that even the coast is above average today. And, stop disagreeing with me dammit!Nope. See my post above. And even cooler at the coast.
But I suspect all roads to the beach will be jammed.

I would park in RSM and ride to the beach unless I were Herzie or @StrandLeperNope. See my post above. And even cooler at the coast.

Just look at that current "real feel" reading, almost 10 degrees higher than the actual temp. That's HOT.
Perfect in the shade. Even perfecter now that I’ve found a Mexican lager I like…Just look at that current "real feel" reading, almost 10 degrees higher than the actual temp. That's HOT.
Hmmm, I'm seeing a trend here...everyone is down by the beach today.
Stop saying things that aren't true!.. And, stop disagreeing with me dammit!
Im only telling True Lies!Stop saying things that aren't true!
Ahhhh-haaaa! Looks to me like you're in a heat advisory.NOAA is a little confused right now. Predicted high of 72°. Current temp 89°

My weather app on my phone is much more accurate: 81° now with a high of 82° predicted
It's currently 81° - If it's below 90, it ain't hot!Ahhhh-haaaa! Looks to me like you're in a heat advisory.
If it's below 90, it ain't hot! It's 81°.
Sheesh you sissy.
We're at 104° heading to 105°
No I didn't ride, drink beer, or shoot anything, just becoming a couch potato chip until Tuesday.
80+ at any beach in So Cal is above average. It's currently 81° - If it's below 90, it ain't hot!
But I would not intentionally ride my MtB if the predicted high were 90 or above. Probably not even 85. That's why god invented surfing!
I still wish I lived in Cypress with my local heat now. Won’t get below 79-78 until October. 100 degree/108 heat index all week in Tulsa. Even waiting until 8pm to mow the lawn it’s over 100 heat index.I grew up here in OC (Cypress), and we didn't have AC back then. I can't imagine not having it now, and I'm only about 5 miles east of where I grew up.
