Putting Out A Feeler......25 Hours in Frog Hollow

For me the SS is a given in a event like this.

I could possibly have 3 SS’s and a fourth who looks at it everyday and walks past it.
I rode my single speed today! @DangerDirtyD - You got room on the Fiddlefarters if I get cut?!?! I can submit my Strava resume for review.

That DH hardtail-gravel bike has been addicting the last few months... :D
A four person team I think would be perfect. Hard but not so hard that your not having fun. Even 3 person team wouldn't be too bad. The fourth person should be easily convinced to ride his SS. Even if it is not as cool (supposedly)
All I'm saying is that [I expect] 1,100' over 13 miles to include flat-ish sections where a SS bike will spin out and hold back geared bikes on multiple segments. I've been in that conga line at the Old Pueblo, and folks start yelling at the hamster in front to pull over. I haven't ridden this course, so I don't know for sure...just speculating.

This course looks to be front loaded with the climbing. The first 5.5 miles are uphill... No single speed is going to hold you up.

Sorry, D... No flat sections. :p It's either up or down...Single speed wheelhouse.

Not sure of many times that I have raced my SS where the flat sections I have really held anybody up. The opposite can be said for geared bikes. Geared bikes ride up hill so slow they will hold up the singlespeeders. Racing is racing... if they are going for the "V" then they need to prepare to pass all slower riders on the course, especially in a 12/24 hour format you are going to run into all ability levels. I think singlespeeds are the least of the worries.
