Right on, Sara, be nice to yourself! Steep stuff in gyms has been gold for many shoulder surgeons...but gyms are a common route to outdoor climbing.

A climber focused on the mountains will get only so much from a gym. Slabby footwork and crack tech is key in the BC, and gyms don’t have lots of terrain to help practice it. But yes I do know how fun pulling hard at numbers is. My shoulders will never forgive me!!
Ya, I will definitely do my best to stay away from injury!
The gym will have to do, indoor activities are not my thing, but I’ll take what I can get!
So, cool....f I ever have any questions, I know who to ask  thx!

This is mtb love:inlove::D

This is random, but I’m a Prana brand influencer and this is a special sale they have going on if anyone is in need of new hiking, climbing or yoga gear. Just throwing it out there :) I don’t get any kick backs or anything, just think it’s an awesome company:thumbsup:

My two favorite riding "jerseys," are Prana, I bought them for climbing and ended up using them for rides.

At least you can look out and see your bikes. We normally have to park on the roof and have $40K of bikes in the back of the truck we can't see. I try not to worry about it and instead fantasize about my replacement bike if my current bike gets stolen :D

Yeah, that's the worst feeling!!!
I wasn't worried about their getting stolen here, just kinda' annoyed at the lack of something as simple as a staple or wave rack. If they wanted to get fancy, do something like this from Pacific Beach (all their restaurants are in beach towns, would be a good fit):

All new development is required per Title 24 of the California Building Code to install bike racks. Even new high-cube distribution warehouses must have them, you know, for those truckers who ride their bikes to work.

$7000+ I want to say $7800 but to be honest, it may have been 77 or 74. Details get fuzzy as the years go by and the hits to my head increase. I do know it was my Pivot Mach 6 that was brand new in its heyday that cost that much. Nowadays, I either find a screaming deal on Pinkbike or get a close-out frame and build it up but they still ain’t cheap.

I don’t spend money on anything else though. No coffee habits, I eat street tacos for 79 cents, no golf, I never buy clothes, my vehicles are paid off and all stock.

Curious what is the most any of you have spent on a bike? For those who built from the frame up, count your first rideable iteration, not the endless upgrades.

$3600 for me.
Highly variable for me because I tend to keep a frame for a year or two and then move the parts (or as many of the parts as I can get to transfer over) to a new/different frame. When I do this, there is usually at least something I need to spend money on, including the frame, of course.

The new HT that I am about to build is going to cost me this amount out of my pocket:

*frame- $340/shipped
*dropper- $234/shipped
*protective tape kit- $28/shipped
*headset- $67/shipped
*fork decal kit- $15/shipped

A whopping $684 for a new, quality built bike!!!
