Good management, Ed.

I gave my GP an idea of the stuff I/we do, and she said maybe don’t go that extreme. Sorry, Marlene. :geek:

One guy I went to briefly told me not to lift anything over 25 lbs for the rest of my life. I flat out told him that doesn’t work for me, and I’ll never be able to comply. He says there comes a time when capabilities diminish, and things one used to do are no longer healthy or safe. F that tosser, he got shytcanned at first opportunity.
Me listening to my doc(s) giving activity recommendations.

Not to go off on too much of a tangent, but @SnakeCharmer and I met an 83 year old woman out hiking today. She and her partner were doing a 12-14 mile hike with a good bit of climbing. It was also hot as balls out there. When we ran into them he was resting in the shade, and she was climbing a peak off in the distance. Anyway, she was spry as hell, and it was obvious that she didn't see anything novel about an 83 y/o out for a strenuous 14 mile hike in the heat. I can only assume she has chosen adventure as a way of life, and it's a strong argument of the medicinal properties of activity and adventure.

...and when she got off the mountain, she spryly hopped into her armored car, drove over some e-bikes in the parking lot, and disappeared in a cloud of diesel exhaust!

What year is it? My little 2wd manual Tacoma is ‘04 with 280k. It has gone over several mountain passes (in 2nd gear since it is a 4-banger) and shuttled Cannell/SART/PCE/Noble with up to 5 riders, bikes, and camping gear. Also served as a work truck in AZ for a 4-person archy crew. :inlove:
2008. Still on original transmission, engine and AC. I do have a great maintenance mechanic.:whistling: Great little truck. Handing it down to Vince. Guess what my new truck is...

Uh, but you bought a Subaru....
My 2009 subaru had more problems from new to 95,000 miles than any car I've owned, and I still loved that car.o_O
And that lack of reliability Includes when i had a '70s mercury Bobcat ( rebranded Pinto wagon :gag: ). Wait, the Mercury is a ford....hhmmm...

But really, go for one of these Karlman King SUV. Saw it on display at the Irvine Spectrum. Armored and awesome.

Because Ford economy cars are ugly and I’m really just making a big deal out of nothing:D

2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 almost 300,000 miles on it and still going strong.
Your Dodge is a beast, saved us lots of time on the trip to Koko & back this year. Maybe 05 was just a good year for trucks cause that's what my duramax is and it ain't left me walking yet. I think that was also the last year they used real metal to build trucks. Now they use recycled beer cans.
