I lived there for nearly 30 years. I saw it snow in early June down to about Denver altitude, but only a few inches. I remember it snowing about 4-6" on graduation day (June 6th) in Colorado Springs (6000'), forcing us indoors. However, I have never seen it snow in any quantity under 11,000' of altitude from mid June to mid September. Gotta be a record. Steamboat is only about 7000'. Breckenridge is about 9500'.

This is a crazy year for sure!

Thanks. Awesome place. No bike trails but lots of dirt roads to ride. I’d like to ride here in the spring or fall when it isn’t 95*+.
Cool place to camp and explore.

My kid Chloee on fathers day. Clearly it is quite obvious where she gets her looks. She breaks out a Polaroid instamatic and thought it was a new invention. Now 265.00 I told her they were about 25.00 in the 70's.

June 3, 1989... My wife's senior prom. It started snowing during the night, and into the next day for our after party. We were at about 500'.

Always carry a spare cable. They don't take up space or weigh much.
Shimano users feel your pain. A dremel will smooth out that cutting point...

Had a spare with me but chose to ride home to replace it. Yeah I wish Shimano would figure that sh¡t out.

My bikes look like that most of the time. I usually just brush the drivetrain clean unless I bring it to work-then I give it the full treatment

My blue Enduro has a Shimano drive train and it’s the only reason I carry a shifter cable.
