Just came down from riding The White Line in Sedona

I grew up riding el Moro/LCWP. I got to take @Fueledbyex8 and some of the other LA bike buds back to my old home trials (que Steely Dan’s “my old school”.)
Anyway, taco loco was a teenaged punk/ SXE kid hangout on Monday nights ‘cuz they had $1.50 tofu mushroom burgers. Today’s tofu mushroom burger was 10 bones.
Still, an amazing meal!

Tofu mushroom burger is where it’s at!

Awesome shot Sara! Tell us about the castle?
Oh right...so that’s Shea’s Castle(google it, lots of info)! I used to drive my kids back to see it when they were nuggets! It has since burned but is still occupied by either renters or current owners. It used to look really cool back before it burned, but is still a neat thing to see.
Take a bike ride on the aqueduct from Munz road and head West..you’ll ride right behind it, and get a pretty epic view of the poppy fields as well!

My brother hung out at Shea’s castle when the Delgado’s owned it. I have been there several times back then. Went to a st. Patrick ‘s day Party, and even water ski’ed on the tiny lake it used to have out front in wetter California times.
Glen, my brother was there during his 8th grade days when they were filming porn flicks. The only flick that comes to mind right now is Dracula Sucks, ha ha. Look it up... or don’t!

Naturally it claims to be haunted. Mr. Shea moved to the United States and apparently Mrs. Shea did not want to leave Europe, so he built her a castle. About the same year he finished it, she died.

My brother says he has experienced some very crazy un explainable things staying the night there. In fact, one of the Delgado’s Glen hung out with there with is currently in a mental institution...

How is THAT for some info!

That’s some JUICY info, probably couldn’t have found all that on the internet!
I wonder if Cathy would like to ride back there on the aqueduct!? It’s easy and lots to see!

You said it so matter-of-fact-ly that I just said "huh, more courageous than I am, that's for sure..."

Yeah, that will be a "never gunna happen" event for me. On the plus side, I did ride 99% of the Hiline stuff this time. There's one right turn that freaks me out still leading into the last roller/drop that has been cleaned up since my last trip. Rode Hangover today and made it all the way down to the last drop but missed the line and had to bail. Cleaned two other sections on the way down from Hangover for the 1st time as well...one of them due to some work to make it more palatable, the other because a bunch of hikers were watching and my ego kept pushing me.

Here's a photo of @pdqmach26 and I at about the half way point on Hangover. Bob commented when we were all done that Hangover might be the toughest trail he's *ever* ridden. That says a lot if you know what kind of rider is and the fitness level he possesses. If you weren't aware, I'm the fat guy who needs to start on a new health kick tomorrow morning.
