BAFB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not quite there, but had to get a jump on the build. Wheels/tires/fork are temporary. That little extra frame length feels...just like I hoped it would. :sneaky::inlove:

Thanks for keeping me stoked all winter, guys and gals. Thanks for the stem, Jason. Thanks for the ring, Erik.

AYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing, purpose-built machine.
Ride it like I know you can!

I thought so when I got a photo of the bike. But I had to do some graphic research to be sure what I was getting. I tried to line up the BB/chain stay...

35 mm more reach on paper.

Not sure where that LambroGG idea sprouted from. It seems pretty black. Good news, I don't care what color...

I may be more excited about this than I should be, but I’m actually super pumped. I’ve been wanting something different (read: cooler) for riding bike paths with my kid. I’d been eyeing a Townie for a year or so, but couldn’t justify it with all the mounting costs of getting back into MTB. Recently saw that the Townie Path was a thing, sporting disc brakes, 27” tires, and it came in Nardo Grey (they actually call it Nardo) which is my favorite Audi color. It was more than my heart could bear, yet I resisted. Wife and I recently gave each other permission to pick out new kid chasers, and she picked up a Benno. I resolved that I wouldn’t until my Escape sold and freed up a space in the garage. I unloaded it today, and immediately went out and got this. I’d sat on this exact one at least 3 times in the last month. Though it may be an odd category of bike to get stoked on, I really am. Can’t wait to hit the beach.

New bikes are always stoke-worthy! And that color is (chef's kiss)!

Looks like you have the fork dropouts for a big-ass basket up front.

Kickstands are awesome! So civilized. Happy NBD, Nardo!

I've had this one for a while, but I figured I'd finally post it in the new bike thread. I've got another one coming that hopefully I'll be posting in here soon.

XL Giant Trance Advanced 29 Pro 2. Swapped the drivetrain from nx eagle to a gx/x01 eagle setup. Brakes to Guide Ultimate, carbon bars - syntace stem. I've got two wheelsets for it, the oem carbon wheelset with minions and a speed tuned exile carbon wheelset with an XC setup.

27.8 lbs with pedals and 2.3 minions
26.9 lbs with pedals and my XC wheel/tire setup

I'm going to put a 34 factory and a factory dpx2 on it soon.

Loving this bike.

Those Townies are fun bikes to ride and all the accessories your can buy for them, you can make it yours. BTW, you cannot get fenders for the 27.5 model bikes yet. Enjoy the ride!!

The only thing I'd add is the plastic doohickey that secures the brake line to the fork leg.

Thanks. My rack doesn’t play nice with fenders anyway, so that won’t be an issue, but I found out today that they don’t make pannier racks for the 27.5 yet either. Got a Bontrager that I’m told will work, so we’ll see.

That's what I'm talking about!

Matt, as a pannier owner and user since the Mesozoic era (and former rusty basket runner), I say you might be thinking too high tech. :geek::p

But those antlers – they totally work! :)
If my fragile male ego would let me rock a basket I’d do it, but I was looking for a bike with a little more swagger than my Escape. The Nardo Path seems to achieve that, but I think a basket might neuter it a bit. I put a quick call into Electra and they do in fact have a pannier for it, so i returned the Bontrager. I do think it’s rad that a Townie is getting so many hits in this thread.
