Mtnbikej's B-Day Social

If this isn't on Saturday or Sunday and doesn't happen due to the mountain not being closed because of it raining a lot or not, I will or will not be there, for some, most or none of the ride. o_O

See you Saturday or Sunday.

You can't say we're not consistent. We can derail any thread. But through all the noise, it seems Jason is gathering a merry band of misfits for this birthday ride!

And, there will be tacos...

We definitely need a popcorn eating smiley...
Yup.

So you do realize that Saturday is Open Space day right??? :)

I'm supposed to be out there with some friends doing a similar route, but we will be hitting Cattle Crest at the top of Serrano Ridge. Hopefully we'll run into you guys and can ride for a bit.

Again...... Weather permitting.

Ummmm, oh boy, how do I say this.... uhhh, something has come up. I now need to choose between my 6 yo daughter and J's birthday. My wife is very understanding, but perhaps not quite THAT understanding. And frankly, my daughter is a lot cuter than J-Zilla.

So, if this moves to Sunday, I am still in. Saturday - well - I need to spend 30 minutes at 10am at the 73 and Pacific Park. Very near 5-Oaks, by the way.

EDIT: Well, as I was writing this, J posted the above. Brilliant!

Now, I will not tell my wife that the ride was changed, and she will be smitten with my amazing fatherly love demonstrated by giving up my pre-planned ride to watch my daughter swim in her final lesson of the series. What a guy! :inlove:

Let's talk meet up time for those who are doing a shortened version.......

Rolling from Quail Hill at 9:00 for the whole route

We should be at the Willow/LCWP parking lot by 10:15

If you are starting from Nix, it takes about 35-40 minutes to get to Willow/LCWP

Hope to see you all on Sunday morning.

Willow - 10:15 - Roger that.

Parking will be hit or miss at the Willow lot. Hopefully, some folks will be leaving by then, but given how chilly it will be in the morning, and that the lot doesn't open until 8am, I am guessing most people are also shooting for mid-morning start times for their recreational activities.

Just FYI There is another lot on North East side of 133 just past 73. James Dilly Greenbelt preserve. All the trails there are Hike Only but you can park and ride to base of willow in ~3 min. Be aware you may get one or more folks tell you you can't ride there they are protective of that areas I get it, simply acknowledge you know, I just say we use it as overflow parking and riding out elsewhere. $3 like other OC parks

Pretty Sure I can attend all though I have potential conflict .

I will probably park at Nix and Ride Over to Willow see if I can clean the 3 Amigos, (the 3 little Ups including through / over the fence on the last one).
Stagecoach might be a little mucky through the bottom.

Not sure I am riding today, little under and did not get up ... But Dang I bet MS is / was nice this AM if not chilly.

I'm still planning on being there! Need a carpool buddy though... Paging @Jose m Cepeda @bigringrider101 @burt @Voodoo Tom or anybody from the north. I'll be traveling down the 405 or the 5 from Sylmar... :coffee::D
Supposed to be doing some last minute Xmas shopping with the wifey:gag: but I'd rather just ask for forgiveness later. If I'm still alive later when I throw this out there I'll let you know.

I'll aim for this as well.
