What section did you crash on?I had to know and finally was able to sit at my home desk office to upload my Garmin. Obviously the checkered circle is as far as my bike made it down the trail.
I hit the tree at 13.6 mph. Not as fast as I thought I was going, but apparently fast enough! Ouch?

Deckard is in the dark fur-lined coat.
Just past McGill Campground, was just finishing up the slight climbs, STRAVA Section “Pedal”.What section did you crash on?
Man after seeing the Strava you're right, you wasted no time calling for help. I had assumed that you laid there for a bit trying to do an inventory and get your bearings but the strava timeline tells me different. I'm assuming the helicopter ride started at roughly the 3:10:00 mark where the strava stops or did the Garmin go dead there? If I had to guess I'd say it was roughly 50 minutes after you made the call till they found you. Pretty damn impressive, those guys were good.I had to know and finally was able to sit at my home desk office to upload my Garmin. Actually, I cropped the file as it showed everything from moving the bike around to hiking it back up the trail, loading it up, you driving it home, and you riding it ALL WEEK! Yes get the cortisone shots and try to buy some time. Kaiser will give at least 3 rounds before they give up. Close your eyes cause it's a huge f'ing needle and it hurts but I'll bet it works for a couple years or so at least.Whelp,
Saw the Ortho today.
I guess I can say I’m pleased about the pelvis sitch.
Re-evaluation in 30 Days, no driving or walking without a chaperone. Should take the usual 6weeks for a solid bone growth. Problem is just getting through the pain. I thought collarbones were bad... You don’t have to walk on a collarbone!
The bad news was the news I did not expect and that was my right knee.
From all the cocktails they gave me at the hospital, I was really retaining water. My right knee really blew up! I had, had torn meniscus surgery on it in the late 80’s.
So I thought they needed to go back in there and trim things back up. Wrong!
Doc says, “Uh, Mr. Watson... there is no meniscus to work on. You have ground it down to bone on bone. Your next option is Cortisone shots until that no longer works then it’s remove and replace.” Well THAT’S a bummer! Wtf!

The knee, according to my Doc, there should be equal distance on the left as well as on the right:

Re-evaluation in 30 Days, no driving or marathon’s without a chaperone. Should take the usual 6weeks for a solid bone growth to be in full swing. Suppose to double my walk time on it each week. Problem is just getting through the pain. I thought collarbones were bad... You don’t have to walk on a collarbone!
