McGill McGot Him Again… Mikie is Down...

Mikey! Man so sorry to hear this. It can happen to any of us anytime especially riding like you do. I’m glad it was not worse but I bet it feels bad enough! Rib bruises are brutal. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and heeling vibes. Can’t wait for you to heal and ride with you again. Voodoo Tom wow great friend and a class act. I’m going to add your number to my favorites and emergency contacts list. Seriously great leadership and quick thinking could have saved his life if he was going into shock. I’ll keep this in mind to each time I’m riding as a reminder I’m not a kid anymore and it can go bad real quick. Heal up Mikie!

I realize we haven't met "yet" but I used to think you were superhuman. Now this is twice you have wodded it up since I've been an imtb'er. Now I'm thinking you're just a normal shmo like the rest of us. I still walk the death-chute though right at your avatar so you're still good there! you are the grand-Poobah of the Royal order of imtb so fkn slow down and heal up real good. The one good plus to all this is summed up in one word. Ice cream... Vibes
I am superhuman.
I have broken 11 ribs, collapsed a lung twice, fractured 3 vertebrae, 1 Lumbar, broke both my collarbones, one of which is plated and pinned, broke my leg, fractured both wrists, had meniscus surgery on my right knee, had a tendon cut to relieve hammer toe, told the surgeon to just cut the toe off if it would make it easier. All for mountain biking. Yup! I’m supah-human! :sneaky: Just a shmo like the rest of us with a passion for mountain biking.
Never going to slow down, just gotta think a little more carefully about where I haul the mail and when.

Damn dude you sound like Evel Knievel...o_O

Dang @Mikie you have to slow down and smell the flowers bud.
Quick recovery. Need anything just holler, I don’t live in Canada like you but I can travel.
Thanks Buddy! I think hitting a tree at any speed provides undesirable consequences.
I’m anxious to get the Garmin off the bike and upload to STRAVA to see how fast I actually was going.
Thank you for the offer my friend!

And here I thought I was a klutz. :gag::inlove:

Oh dam Mikie, this one was scary. It even hurt to read about it. Heal up soon and take it easy. I am glad you could get to the cell phone, I think about that sometimes. I wear mine on my back and normally end up head down the trail, face up. So it is an issue. I am glad you could reach it. And when those guys at work tell you "You crashed again?" Tell them "Yep if you dont get out you don't crash, if you do you get out you can crash anywhere". Those Aholes are at me all the time.

Good thinking VTom calling out an advanced team. Who would have thought it was a Medivac.

I think I just posted about riding McGill soon. Probably will, maybe not. Spare time is a luxury that seems to escape me.

Happy medicated trails.

Jeepers, that's a lot of damage control. I hope this will give you a chuckle. So I'm at the Doc's with a broken C-bone. My Dr. Knew me well. A hard working stern 4'ft. 9" Asian lady named MY. Shows me the x-ray with her pointer due to her height, points to a bulge right next to the current break and says ((ohhh you break before)) well as far as I knew, I never broke my collar bone before and asked her if she had the right x-ray. Big mistake. She slammed the stick to the corner where my name is and says ((see James Ditson)) then points back to the bulge and says ((you break before motorcycle man)) then starts lifting my arm up above the shoulder while I'm wincing in pain. AND SHE WAS SMILING. That's the first time I ever saw her smile!

Oh man! Those chuckles turned to wincing pain. It hurts my chest to laugh and even giggle. That was funny.... motorcycle man!:Roflmao

Yeah, I think what Tom is depicting is I was out of gears. I was really having fun!
Now, I am not one to take anything away from Mikie.. OK, yes I am.

We know that Mikie was stuck in his pedal and in a lot of pain, but I think he may have cleverly shifted to the smallest cog after he crashed, y'know, for the bragging rights. o_O ;)

J/K brother. I know you haul arse at every opportunity!
