Looking For A New Helmet Suggestion

I really like my IXS Helmet TrailRS Evo. My buddy Troy also has one and it saved his head when he went down HARD right in front of me in Whiting. Available in an assortment of colors. Plenty of wrap around protection while still being well ventilated and light.

As I mentioned above, the IXS RS is the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. Great coverage, great ventilation. The brow is a little low and thus can hinder forward visibility while climbing. My 7iDp is second in comfort. Great coverage, good ventilation. And bee mesh.

Ooops, I am repeating myself.

Agree with all of this. I always try them on before buying and get what fits best. Some brands seem to change the fit or sizing from year to year, so don't assume that what you had before will fit.

I've gone through three Giro Hex's most recently. Two were medium and fit well, but most recently the medium was too big. The small seemed ok in the store but feels too small when out riding. Guess my head swells a bit when exercising? Had to look for something new and ended up with a TLD helmet as the best fit.
Cool, I tried a TLD A1 MIPS today and really like the fit!

Haha, I need the repeat these days

Will look it up, some of these are new to me. What do you all think of MIPS,?

The problem with a lot of the EnduroBro helmets is lack of airflow. Its gets too hot! I got a white Giant helmet for summer, its light and has good vents.
Something like this.

.
Most good helmets have foam inserts to adjust fit, and the ratchet gizmo in the back also.
Truth! I’ll stay away from dark colors for a summer lid! Looking at MIPS versions too! Thanks for the link:thumbsup:

I've had Kali replace two of mine free of charge. The first they let me upgrade to the new Interceptor. I only had to pay the retail difference. The second was a crash replacement of my crash replacement. Again free of charge. Their version of Mips called LDL works as advertised. I've tested it twice.
Oh, so they do mean free..that’s so awesome!

Lame, Specialized only offers 20% discount if you bring your crashed lid in. Not a huge fan of the brand anyways.
OK Sara. You've impressed us all with your attitude towards your injury, your desire to ride, your energy for posting on the forum. Your wit, charm and commentary. So many other reasons. But this? Saying something negative about Specialized as a brand?

This seals the deal!!!!! :inlove::inlove:
