I'm not a roadie, but I know that the climbs in LA county are much better than what we have here. The forest roads up there are so much longer and climb much higher. The entire mtn range is bigger all around.
Well, where fire roads are concerned, the OC has the gnarliest one I have ever sampled (where sheer nasty/roughness is concerned). It's called Main Divide.

From what I read, that truck ride was brutal for you! :whistling:
Yep, I have no shame. Heck., I've done things in my life that I should probably be in prison for. :whistling:

I was totally spent and could not pedal or walk any further. In fact, when that truck rolled up, I was hunched over on my bike, nearly unconscious. The guys in the truck were rally concerned and they gave me a cold drink. At that moment, it was no longer a bike ride, I was in survival mode. That truck saved my life!

I obviously missed something here....but glad you survived whatever it was.

Tapia just after sunrise on the biggest & heaviest bike in the garage. Climbs weren't fast but not too slow, descents about the same. Sure was nice & comfy though. Wheel of fortune said to do Sidewinder & G-out so I did. Wasn't enough though so I climbed back up for a Kona run and was home before breakfast.

Locals for sure but not exactly sure who. It also has a basket hanging below it stocked with tools and some random repair items and a full sized tire pump. Soon I think they will have to add a charging station for all the f@cking able bodied e-bikers that are riding here.
Sorry to hear that the e-bikers have discovered this unique riding place.

The ground is so easy to damage there, what a bummer. I fear that the motorized bikes may tear it up even more now. God knows the motos do their fair share of damage up there already.
