Knee Replacement Day October 12th 2021

I had to sleep on what you posted…
I didn’t want to reply with some shallow “Thanks for your concern” kinda thing.
I have a few other factors to consider unfortunately, and maybe fortunately.
For one, I’m running out of time. I’ve made it a goal to relocate to North West Arkansas some time shortly after February. Timeline relates to my career as well as my patience for staying there, and… one factor that may cause a rise on the site I’m not sure I want to stir up about vaxx stuff. I’m fearful that shortly down the road “they” may attempt to force me to do something I will refuse to do either prior to surgery or at my job.

Another is I’m not sure I want some Arkansan hillbilly doing the second procedure. I have outstanding health insurance through my company currently and all of that will go away once I step across the California border.

A third is just the, “I’m not sure I want to go through this twice” thingy. Once feels daunting enough!

However, you have no idea how much I appreciate you speaking up. Don’t let my thanks shut you down, if you got more concern to share. I really want to stay open
.
Mikie-
I completely understand all your reasons.
I don’t post often but felt compelled to share because a family member had surgery on both knees at the same time. Unfortunately he never made a full recovery and had to retire from the fire service at 35.
As always there is a risk but I’m sure you will make the best decision for you. God Bless and stay well.

I SO appreciate you, your thoughts and comments, and especially your prayers. THANK YOU!!!

"America’s Frontline Doctors,” a handful of conspiracy-minded physicians that include luminaries such as Dr. Stella Immanuel who alleges that alien DNA is being used in medical treatments and that researchers are working on a vaccine to prevent people from becoming religious. She also believes in a conspiracy by the “Illuminati” to destroy the world with abortion, gay marriage, and of all things, children’s toys. As far as gynecological diseases go, they can be caused by having sex with witches and demons that appear in dreams"...

I can't even.....

Please just be careful out there folks...

Yes, an opinion piece... From prestigious Canadian university

 Looks like the day has been set to have both my knees replaced. Whoever thought we would say things such as this?

I thought I would start a fresh thread out of respect for @OTHRider 's thread as I started muddying that one up with my own woes. Sorry Duke!

I'm not going to attempt to baffle you with fake heroism, I'm scared to death.
My recent cortisone shots to help me through Kokopelli are only now beginning to wear off so it's hard to make an emotional decision when you just don't "feel" that bad.

All the Pre-Op stuff is set as well, so I will share what I know, when I know for anyone interested in probably one of the most critical types of surgeries that affects mountain biking. Them dag burn knees!

The lengths some people will go for attention and sympathy….you could have just just stood up and waved, we would have waved back and said Hi.

mikie.. you violated your rule on no politics...
As fellow brother in Christ...
I was praying for a ER doctor/friend... he broke down b/c the last year and half just tuff.. seeing older folks really sick.. over and over and over again...he's a young kid, 30s..works in the heart of OC...

Anyway, back on track.
I wish you all the best in your decision. I have no doubt your confidence will pay off. It's no small decision to go ahead with this type of surgery! Obviously you have a Doc that you trust and respect, so have no doubt that you explored all your options. Take it easy on the recovery, and hopefully you come back better than before.

May your surgery go well!
Send me the room number so I can make sure you have an endless supply of the nectar of the gawdz!

Hey bud! I did not post anything political. All I posted was a doctors position on the vaccine. There is a huge difference. But some don’t see the diff! ;)
Thanks my brothah!
