Rough times at work lately but I think I see a spot of sunshine trying to break through, at last. Until then, this will make it better for now.

Very much so. But, for 500 miles and zero emissions (assuming there's a truck bed behind that fastback style rear end.) I'd be okay with that. Oh, and price it "democratically" ( like sub-45K...too much to ask?
It is soo ugly. It looks like the vehicular iteration of Musks's face and outfit combined.
On the reveal they loaded it with a ATV, which it self lowered the rear and has a built in ramp...Which apparently they also will make.
Starts at $39,900
Can withstand a 9mm shot to the body and comes with semi armored glass.

I kinda like it, but would bring way more attention than I'd care for.
....now if I can only find my checkbook.....

A far cry from the original concept. Maybe it looks better in person?

I don't exactly like it, but I like that it exists, or at least that it will exist. Guessing the shape will morph slightly into something more palatable before it actually hits the streets. I love that the tonneau is actually called a magic tonneau. Exciting times for automobiles. After living with an EV for a full month I'm really enamored. I imagine when it's time to replace my wife's car it will also be with an EV, though that's a couple years down the road.

One thing is for sure, Elon doesn't follow the pack. He makes his own trail. It's very stealth bomber look. Maybe speed radar can't see it....

More I look at it, I think is bad ass. In black....maybe matte black.

Edit: guess this should all be in the automotive thread...

Prodigious OC climber Brad Gobright has died in El Portrero Chico, Mexico.

Edit: Simul-rappelling accident. No knott in rope ends, no starting from the middle and not watching the rope end.

RIP, Goby. He was a super chill kid with amazing rock skill. Came out of nowhere to unassumingly steal the El Cap Nose speed record from the giants of the sport just a few years ago. 31 years old. Off belay, dude. Condolence to his family and friends.

Ahhh crap. That sounds a little careless or reckless on his part. Hate to hear that. Condolences to family and friends.

Comments like that would be chastised on climbing media forums. But this not being one... Any of three courses of action, as I wrote, would have saved his life. Plus the decision to not simul-rap to begin with. His partner is lucky to have lived. All for what, to get to the ground 15 minutes faster?

To think of the desperate climbs the guy stuck without a rope, then perishes in a self-inflicted rapping mishap... Some irony there, though not an uncommon theme in rock climbing.

Even sadder. I guess it's like Jordie Lunn's recent death. Dude does huge and amazingly difficult things on a bike, but perishes in a routine mishap. Sorry if I angered the climbing community by my comments. Perhaps my ignorance allows more honesty.
