Since @mtnbikej was stingy with his beer I had to go somewhere else to find some.:D

I came home to witness the county of Ventura wants to change the county seal. It has Friar Junipero Serra on the seal. The re-creators of history have found him to be an evil man. And we must strike all knowledge of him being in the county and creating 9 of the 21 Alta California Missions. Evdog was just by number 3. Here the evil man with two associates hung a bell in a tree and cast an evil spell upon all inhabitants in the area. History must forget such acts of atrocity. I may have a different view but I am a historian among other hobbies.
I think we should have a giant ogre shaking the wallets and purses of local residents to feed its' insatiable need for money.
Maybe I should draw one with mountain bikes traversing the local mountains.
Happy trails

Serra was not too good at choosing locations, most not all were moved to better places soon after founding

Our coyotes are normally just feral cat control.
I wonder if this one was rabid, because they usually just run from humans.

It's not unheard of for them to go after little unattended kids... I can remember at least 3 cases (Ladera, Irvine, ?, etc...) since I've lived here and that's less time than most of you.

When I was a kid, I shot several... The most memorable was a pack of 6 attacking the neighbor's miniature pony. Wild dogs were worse though... I always had a .22 in the cab of the tractor for them. They were more unpredictable and vicious. Yeah... I guess I grew up redneck. Now I enjoy my 1/2 fat extra dry double cappuccinos. :Roflmao

No wonder sending parcels in this country is such a feckin rip-off.....
Package coming from LA to OC, due for delivery tomorrow. Got a notification early this morning that it'll be delivered today (a day earlier than planned) make sure someone is home to sign for it.

Latest update has just come through, delivery is pushed back to tomorrow as its currently in transit to Memphis Tennessee.

3500 mile detour to deliver a package the size of a baseball 60 miles?

And yet... There are a couple packages that we receive on a regular basis that I have requested as "signature required". Once a month I can see our package on the Ring Cam- flying over the fence. In two years, I have yet to sign for it...

And I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt... Hoping that the mid to long lens compressed the frame, and the kid was actually a distance behind the parent on the sand, even though it looks like they are equidistant from the lens.
I assume they were not aware of the incident in real time, but their reaction, or lack thereof, upon turning around is appalling. Poor kids.
