Thanks for the mention, but I'm no DH'er, slow AF. I make up for it by not being all that fast on the climbs. I do enjoy climbing though and bombing back down at my pace. This one definitely had some bang for the buck so-to-speak: https://www.strava.com/activities/1189493984 (Mt. Elbert, CO) I like to shoot for 100' of gain per mile on a typical ride, this one clocked in at 330' and that was with the downhill added in using the total mileage of the ride, otherwise it was closer to 650' per. Oof.

For comparison the entire CTR came in at 129' per mile. Seemed like much more. https://www.strava.com/activities/1122144603

I'm on Strava as myself: John Schilling over in Queen Creek, AZ

I'm not the only one on the forum with a possessed Garmin! Mine started me 10 miles off shore for the Catalina Gran Fondo... I never know when it's going to go haywire. It likes to keep me guessing.
I've only had it happen a couple of times. I'm not sure what happened on this one, but I unfortunately did a hard reset instead of soft so I didn't even get the chance to recover the data.

Losing the entirety of my 140.6 sucked (with my old GPS).

Ok we talk about Avg / Max Ft/ Mile...I challenge min Ft/ Mile loop / out back no point to point over 10 miles.. here is mine 3.8'/mi. Hehehe

FTR beautiful day at the beach.

I ride this stretch of PCH 2-3 times a week.
at times it could be one hell of a ride.
I do have Strava segment that I’m top 1% (Riding with fast guys helps).
Interesting yeah!! My workout when it's windy to see if I can ride with or pass the geared folks on the fix... Sometimes .. sometimes not (more the case)

Or tuck into a group and turn 120 RPM

I ride 46x18
