I'm w/ Luis... forget all y'all!

I'm still coughing and with off and on headaches... any ride more than a flat path ain't happening.

REALLY BUMMED as these social rides are the BEST. BBQ & beer, good people, mountains and trees... & bikes! Damn, what's not to like!

At this point, I'm no the fence.

Your smartphone’s GPS function works whether or not you’re in cel range. Maybe low-res or nonexistent backgrounds, but track and orientation work.

Yes! And download one of the handy apps, and you can get hi-res maps off-line with your location. MTB Project saved my butt in Oregon a couple times with zero visibility, unknown trails, and a few missing trailhead signs. I never had to resort to the paper map.

Another satisfied customer!

I think most apps let you download backgrounds in advance. I know the AZT app does. Might as well dig into that.

Solid maybe here. Anybody interested in riding the new segment Burt and I rode a few months back? We would ride ahead during one of the re-groups
and drop into the Logging Road trail about half way down. Its new, steep and kinda techy.
Then we would catch the group some where around Lucky Charms.

Well, I thought I was gonna have to stay home tomorrow and weave new extensions on my hamster o_O. But he decided he'd rather go to an ADHD singles mixer under the shed instead. Hope he meets a nice gerbil :inlove:so we can finally get that rodent out of the house:thumbsup:! Anyhoo, I'll be there at Jackson tomorrow to ride! Thinking about option 1 perhaps with the addition of the Leprechaun Loop after the Boy Scout out and back. I'll be in the social pace group:)!

I'm ALWAYS interested in techy sketchy. But it will depend on the group and what gap I need to fill as a ride leader for any pace group. Saturday, any ride is a good ride with any group that wants to have fun! ;)

Anybody want to climb Upper Jackson then drop down the fire road to Manzanita then climb the fire road back up from the boys camp?

As much as I'd love to do Manzanita, which is the best trail there... The two times I've done it, it's been 40s and 50s up top. When we hit the pavement, it was in the 80s. I can only imagine what it's going to be like tomorrow with the heat.
