I Rode My Bike Today...

I hopped on my bike today. No work and my wife had the day off so we got out for a ride together. She set the route and the pace. Headed over to Oaks. After she had enough, I continued on.

We got a later start than planned and a commitment in the early afternoon. So I didn't stay out much longer.

Legs felt great.

Got in 27 miles / 3100' ascent

I rode my bike today (well really last night). Not my usual Tuesday night ride on the Yorba Linda horse trails, instead a late start ride around the Fullerton Loop. It was Jeff and I, and we didn't see anyone else on the trail, no bikers, no hikers, no dog walkers, no one. If I'd known it was going to be so empty I would have used the occasion to try the loop in reverse.

No pics of Mr. Verd?
No sir, he and Josh headed out another way back home so couldn't regroup where there was light and it was kinda chilly so we didn't stop much to chat. I also forgot to mention that some guy showed up with an E Bike and we all kinda gave him a hard time, jokingly of course :whistling:, well he bailed as soon as we started the initial climb , yikes, hope we didn't scare him away!

redwoods texted me last night: Can you ride tomorrow?? I wanna hit the EC trails. My response: That was my plan as a matter of fact!!

We (Pat, Tom and his son TJ - I haven't ridden w the latter two since Bell Ridge w mike) hit Electric, Insidious, Distortion then Revolution where I picked this lil gem up on the rock garden:

I was trying to shake Pat off my back tire and hit the rock garden way too hot for my skill level - that boy is FAST or I'm slow...

I had to call it a day bc the hematoma hurt like a MoFo. They continued on to Jump Line...hope they kept the rubber side down.

Rode the usual STT Luge whiting today except started at cooks to skip Musatard. This was a good choice as felt like I was dragging the whole ride, so just took it slow and easy. Had a good time anyway! A day in the dirt is good day.

And I'd never make it in cooler climates, as the 55-60 deg felt arctic to me!

I got some blood the other day, but I bet the reviews would be far less kind if I posted pictures of my feet. :whistling:

Another day....another ride.

Planned to head out and do my usual Weds. B*/SP/Skyline/SP/B*....but looked at the weather out at Sierra Peak and saw 34* wind chill @ 11:00am. Ummmmmm.....no. :coffee:

So make a last minute call to head over to Chino Hills. Headed out and parked out at Brush Cyn Park. Followed the railroad tracks around to SART to Lower Aliso. Made a detour over to Prado Dam...mostly because the road was clear and I hadn't been over there. This would be the theme of the day.

I have been eyeballing Scully Hill.....today I made the turn and headed up. Well, it doesn't look like it has seen much traffic in a very very long time. Tumbleweeds everywhere. Trail was steep, however it was all climbable. Ended up on Scully Ridge and decided to ride it all the way to Lower Aliso backwards.

Over towards 4 Corners, up Southridge and I usually take the spur trail over to Telegraph and down to 4 Corners....not today....went straight up....never been, why not today. Same thing...trail was steep and totally rideable. At least it was clear and open.

Was getting late, was getting cold, was windy most of the ride. Called it a day.

30 miles/3400' ascent

That was too easy!! Step it up will ya!!!

Went over to Sycamore to meet up with the Slackers but they were a no show. I guess I didn't get the memo. I had the boy with me so we hit some of our favorites; Ammo Gully, Fo Shizzle, 9.75 and the bitch to name a few. Put about 12/1000 in, good warm up for tomorrow. Happy Turkey Day yall!

Rode Tapia this morning with a couple imtbtrails brothas(Mikie & psm) and several from a local SCVMTB club. I think it was 8 total riders all of which hauled the the mail. I've only ridden Tapia about a million times but was shown a new trail called bbq lid and it was sweet. What a great way to start the day and the 4 day weekend. SOOOOO much to be thankful for...

Yes I gave psm a hard time for not wearing an imtbtrails jersey and representing like the cool guy on the left...
