I Rode My Bike Today...

Last Friday was my first time in a while down Sidewinder...the downed trees discourage me from riding it because my Strava times are compromised. What fun is a moderate pace if to get there requires climbing? Charging the unobstructed sections is moot if there’s no way to know what I’m feeling on the downs is a PR or controlled apprehension. Likewise with Rollercoaster...this is poopie, but it could be worse.

Here’s to a successful fire season...

Who wants to play “what is @mtnbikej gonna forget for Kokopelli?”
I haven't been to Marshall since ... before Christmas. I actually continued past Sidewinder and up to the gazebo. I did hit up rollercoaster, but that stream crossing really caught me off guard.

It matches!

Last Sunday morning practice for the HS mtn. bike team. It was a great route, but the fast pace was tough for me. I just tried to hang on! That resulted in lots of PRs for the ride! Was riding the lizard as I figured it would be a shorter/slower ride through the wash. Well that wasn't the right call!
Some fantastic new dirt, especially a segment in Wildwood State Park that is like riding in a forest. Perfect outing!

I was just looking to ride Wildwood, especially going past the falls.

Quick trip down to Waterworks to stretch the legs and check out the Hightower before Kokopelli... Did it once from the Antonio entrance and once from the water authority. It's such a fun little trail now after the improvements. I think this is one that the county got right.

All systems are Koko Ready.

18 miles and 1600 feet...

@sir crashalot and I did a lap after work and didn't hit TnA but encountered some... We started at TOW, hit Car Wreck which Gary did great on but me, not so much. Hadn't hit that trail in a few years. Oh well. No biggie. Up Aliso cyn and went around Cholla, because we are too cool for that nonsense and then dropped into Stair Steps. We both had fun runs with the exception of one bad line on my part. Video of that coming soon. These Monday night rides are always a good time and a great way to start the week.

I had a gig in Norwalk this morning so I rode Turnbull Cyn. First time in 5 years...the trails are overgrown. Need goats. Lots and lots (and lots) of goats. Beh-eh-eh-eh-eh!

Ay GOAT! You better not get off that pick up truck or I’m gonna get my hickory stick and shove it up your smelly goat ass!

I resemble that comment...

Forgot to post this last night. Was nerding out on the latest version on DaVinci Resolve:geek:. Anyways, excluding my average rider prowess I just like the lighting and how the grade came out on this one. To steal Nate Hills's hashtag that #lightbro though.

I didn't even recognize the trail until 1:22. :whistling: Glad you didn't take the p-line at 2:24.

I agree about the lighting, especially at the start.

(of whatever trail that was).
