I Rode My Bike Today...

Holy Jim to Trabuco. The classic triangle. About to send the wall, yippie.

Should I be posting in I’m gonna ride my bike? I guess we need a new thread for goons like me who ride-post. I’m riding my bike now. Or today. It happened. It’s gonna happen.

It’s so nice up here, I don’t want it to end...
I too post while riding when I can. There is nothing like sharing the experience while it is happening.:cool:

I keep stopping to F around, pick up trash , and keep catching up to two guys. One of em took a digger up the wall, right in front of me, lol...

I was thinking of doing that loop tomorrow morning.

But today... It was a quick run through O'Neill, down the Vista DH, and out to the Luge... Lots of people out there. So many people that there was a concert on STT. Or maybe it was just two guys with a boom box on the last climb before the luge. o_O

I'm enjoying the extra 10mm on the front of the Chameleon... :inlove:

My buddy Andy and I joined @mtbMike and his buddy George for a ride at Hurkey Creek this morning. It was a really fun ride. Enough climbing to get a good workout and lots of fun singletrack descents. It was really cool to hit some new dirt. Thanks Mike for showing us around. 18.2 miles, 2,201 feet.

I didn’t realize we were going so slow you had time to take photos. I’ll work on picking up the pace.

Never tried yoga but I love yogurt!

The only exercise I get other than cycling is lifting food to my mouth. My arm and shoulder have become immensely strong from all the practice.
LOL! That’s funny especially BC my kids call yoga “yogurt” too:Roflmao
Well, get your workout in anyway you can I say! ...:laugh:Maybe switch off lifting the spoon with the other hand for a few reps;):p:D

Great stuff out there and Mike is a very good trail guide!

So I got out today..

..and went for a breezy ride. Up Coal Canyon to Sierra Peak. Some HAB involved, OK more HAB than I wanted, but this is my biggest ride in awhile and my body's apparently not ready for it. But I did get to the top.. and maybe it'll be easier next time?!?

Descent was good: recently bladed, a little loose and drifty, always fast in the straights and dicey in the turns.. My goal was to stay upright, and that I did. Saw one guy in a truck, one rider and one hiker.

Climbing Coal Canyon is always good for a hallucination or three. :whistling::p

That is my one complaint about The Luge... it's way too short. Considering the speeds that can be taken through it, it's over way too soon. :(

I think of the Luge like a slalom run, after a GS down Vulture Crags, and a downhill on Live Oak (with a couple more short descents thrown in along the way). I guess that adds up to 10 minutes or so total. Super fun to me, with a lot of variety, and my only complaint is that the loop includes pavement. I wish it was all on dirt.

Apparently, STT and Luge are popular with the occasional pro...:D

Anneke Beerten. She's easy on the eyes, extremely fast and has beer in her name! :inlove: A solid performer on the EWS.

Can I assume Tim Ellsworth is a relative of the infamous Tony Ellsworth? I don't think he is a pro of any stature.

How is our good friend @Faust29 so far up the leaderboard on this segment? On a singlespeed Chameleon no less? You hate the Luge and are not particularly quick on it - nor should you be on a hardtail. Is the segment from the Modjeska gate to the end of The Luge? Even so, that's impressive.

Not sure how singlespeed Chameleon Steve @Faust29 is so far up the leaderboard on this segment. You hate the Luge and are not particularly quick on it - nor should you be on a hardtail. Is the segment from the Modjeska gate to the end of The Luge? Even so, that's impressive.

Yes... That’s the segment from the gate to the Luge, and only for today. And I took the screenshot early- before the fast guys uploaded theirs.
